94 Hours 15 Minutes 32 Seconds...

Ok...WOW! Can you tell I am doing nothing but counting down until Tuesday!! It just can't get here soon enough! I am anticipating this so much, I bet this precious little peanut is going to have it's legs crossed! I might just stay until they un-cross :) I took the whole day off on Tuesday to enjoy our new news! I'll have to go buy a few things....I still haven't bought anything, so I think I am due! Stay Tuned...Ill be posting on Tuesday to let everyone know- Pink or Blue!
This weekend we have Bark Busters coming...SO excited about that! I can't wait to see what they have in store for Ruby. I have been warning her all week that things are going to change on Saturday, but she doesn't get it...of course. Especially last night when she darted into our bedroom, straight to the closet, grabbed my slipper and just stood there with the most precious look on her face, big slipper hanging out of her mouth and her ears perked up like, Chase me! I always tell her, its a good thing she is cute!
Yesterday Jeremy had Ruby out running on the course and she is now completely swimming around all the lakes instead of just wading in the water. There was a group of women golfing telling Jeremy that she was the cutest dog they had ever seen and how sweet she was, and they told him not to turn his head or they would steal her. Jeremy says, "You'll bring her back!" Absolutely the truth!
Alex Update: College is going great for him....and he will be a fraternity man! Rush went well and he got a bid to the fraternity of his choice! I know this is just the beginning and he is going to have a BLAST! We miss you!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone....oh and by the way....I am CONVINCED its a GIRL...because Jeremy wants a boy so bad :)

Weekend Fun!

We had a crazy, busy weekend but it was alot of fun!! Saturday we went to our friends Brandy and Phil's wedding, at The Gillespie downtown. It was BEAUTIFUL!! It was so nice getting together and seeing friends we haven't seen in a while. Here is a picture of the gorgeous couple!

Sunday we headed to Owensboro for a baby shower for Jeremy's high school buddy, Matt and his wife Selisa. They just adopted the most precious little girl a couple weeks ago. Baby Delaina is ADORABLE and such a good baby!

We also stopped and saw Jeremy's family for a couple minutes, and Jacey was telling me all about Kindergarten. She LOVES it! Jacey will be 5 in a couple weeks and loves going to school. I had her pose for a couple pictures for me :)

This is Jacey showing me her Hannah Montana Backpack. It wasn't filled with toys this time but with her school folder. She told me all about how she colors everyday and writes her name.

She got her ears pierced a couple weeks ago and couldn't wait to show us!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!! The COUNTDOWN IS ON!!

Goodbyes Are Hard!

So most of you know how precious my little brother is to me. He is absolutely the sweetest, most handsome, precious, smart, funny kid I know! I shouldn't call him a kid because he is 18 and going to college! But in my eyes, he will always be my little baby brother. My nickname for him started as Precious Angel, shortened to Angel, now its Ange. Most people who hear me talk about him know exactly who I am talking about when I say "ange".
Tomorrow he begins his college adventure at the University of Kentucky. My parents will be moving him in and saying their goodbyes too. Even though he is only an hour away, it feels like he is going farther than that. He is the last one to leave the "nest"- I have no clue what my parents are going to do. Well I know what my dad is going to do...but not so sure about my mom. Luckily she will be getting a new little one in January or we might have to supervise her :)
Alex is the youngest out of 4 and certainly had a challenging childhood (only challenging in his mind, he had 3 older siblings!). We teased him about being adopted...isnt that what older siblings did? We told him his real parents really lived next door and when he was 10 he would have to go live with them. He got everything he ever wanted just so he would stop asking or crying, and he says he was left home alone from the age of 2. Oh and we dressed him up as a girl!! (he will die!) Somehow he managed to turn into the best brother, son and grandson, anyone could ask for. He is such a HANDSOME boy, I tease him that all the girls are going to love him...but he will have to get Lindsay and I's approval first :) He is hardworking, giving, loving, and will do anything you ask.
I was 8 when Alex was born, so I have truly watched him grow into an amazing young man. He has gone from bad baby to good teenager :) We have so many funny stories of things he has said over the years, like when we moved to KY from Southern California and the first time he saw his breath in the winter, he asked if he was "smoking". He wondered why he didnt have grandparents, because we called them Nana and Bumpah...well he didnt know they were his grandparents because we didnt call them grandma and grandpa!! He asked if the crosses on top of churches were plus signs and (just a few years ago when I got a "real" job) he asked me if I had the summer off. Oh to be young and clueless. As he enters the beginning of the real world I know he will make us all proud. He makes smart decisions, he knows he needs to work hard and play hard. He will have the best 4 years of his life.

Alex, I wish you the most fun and exciting time of your life. Study hard, play hard, enjoy walking to classes on crisp fall days, enjoy the LONG breaks college students get, enjoy cram sessions in the library, and late nights in the dorms. All of these things will go way too fast, and you will look back and wish you were 21 again! I hope you meet the best friends you will have forever, and maybe even a great girl who meets our standards. My last semester of college I took 19 hours to finish in 4 years, and I never wanted out of there so bad. Boy do I look back now and wish I could be in college taking 19 hours! Enjoy tailgaiting for football games and horse races Keeneland. But most importantly be smart and safe...we know you will.

Have the most amazing time of your life!!

I love you precious angel...and you better come home before Thanksgiving or we'll find you!

Monday Comes Too Fast!

How does Friday take so long to get here, but Monday comes way TOO Fast!?!? We had a very nice weekend this past weekend. Jeremy's parents came in town on Thursday night, I worked a half day on Friday- we had lunch with Jeremy at his Golf Course's country club, then headed to Campbellsville for Jeremy's cousin's wedding. It was held outdoors in a Vineyard in Campbellsville. The weather was very nice, not too hot at all! We headed back later that night and enjoyed cooking out with his parents on Saturday. They even got to experience Ruby at the dog park. You can only tell people how crazy she acts when she is there, but seeing it for yourself is something else!! They left Sunday morning, then we headed to my parents house that afternoon to celebrate my mom's birthday and have a nice dinner for Alex before he heads off to College!! Where I am sure he will live on Ramen Noodles and Tuna from a can! It was a great end to the weekend!
The upcoming week makes me tired just thinking about it! We are going to be super busy, but that just means one week closer to Sept. 1st! Tonight we have our first "Baby Class" at Baptist East Hospital, from 7-9...I said can't they schedule those classes a little earlier for all these TIRED pregnant women! Tuesday I am volunteering at the Neighborhood House through BB&T to help pass out backpacks and have a kick off dinner for the young kids. Wednesday...that will be my free day...Im already looking forward to relaxing. Jeremy plays golf every Wednesday with the members from his country club...so that will be his busy day. Thursday I am going to the Kelly Clarkson concert, which I am excited about but not sure if I will be able to keep my eyes open...or the next day at work. Thankfully it is a Friday but it will be my long one! Friday I will be saying goodbye to my precious little brother as he heads to UK. I know how excited he is, and I remember that day like it was yesterday. I absolutely LOVED everything about college. It really was the best 4 years of my life...high school was great too! There is just something about being a college student. I know he will have a blast and do so many amazing things. I just love that kid! Still not done...Saturday we are headed to our friends Brandy and Phils wedding. We are so excited to see them get married and celebrate with them! Sunday we are headed to Owensboro for a baby shower for one of Jeremy's high school friends Matt & his wife, Selisa, who just adopted a precious little girl! They spent the past 2 weeks in Florida picking up their bundle of joy! We cant wait to meet her!!
Are you as tired as I am??? I got tired writing that!
Hope everyones week goes FAST!!

The Beat Goes On...

We went for our 3rd doctors appointment yesterday and heard that amazing sound again! The doctor even commented how fast the heartbeat was...doesn't that mean girl?? Ha Ha! The Chinese Birth Chart says its a boy and Jeremy's sister swears its a boy :) We scheduled my Ultrasound...the BIG one, for September 1st. I was hoping it would be the week before but that's ok...I can wait....wait, no I cant ;)

I have been diligently looking at baby furniture, and I think I have decided on getting it from JC Penney. I love their stuff and Jeremy's mom can get a great discount! Leaves me more money for that chair I have to have! Here is a picture of the crib and dressers. I think my mom and I are going to be able to make most of the bedding. Well, my mom will...you don't want to see me sew!
I wish this picture was a little bigger and that the blanket wasnt covering most of it, but it was the only one I could get off their site ;) This crib is convertible too, so it will convert into a daybed, then into a full size bed.

This is the tall dresser to the left, and the changer below. We probably wont get the hutch on top of the changer because the babies room isnt that big. And eventually the changer can be a normal dresser for a toddler.

I think we will have this nursery done way before Baby A arrives. But I cant wait to get started!

Oh and I am feeling alot better! I dont have that complete sick feeling like I used to and I can actually get through dinner now! I definitely can't eat as much, I think the baby is taking up my stomach space :) I am still very tired at night. Im not taking a nap at 5 pm like I was, but I am definitely in bed early!

We don't have big weekend plans so we plan on getting things done around the house and relaxing. It will probably involve a trip to the dog park too! Next weekend we have a wedding for Jeremy's cousin, the next weekend for our friends Brandy and Phil (and on a sad note...my precious little brother leaves for COLLEGE that weekend!!) We are going to miss him so much..we might be taking some unannounced trips to Lexington to surprise him :) Watch out Alex!!

So many to choose from!

Today is the FIRST day I have actually gone and looked at baby stuff...can you believe it? I truly can't. I thought as soon as we found out we were having a baby, I would be at Target buying baby things. However, this is quite a challenge when you have no idea if it is a boy or a girl. How do people keep it a surprise?? So I haven't bought anything! Things are so gender specific. What is even harder is trying to decide on stoller, carseat, and pack-n-play patterns. There are so many! I want to keep the major things gender specific so in the future when we have more kiddos we don't have to keep buying new strollers/carseats/pack-n-plays.

My mom and I went to USA Baby, which is a really neat store. They have tons of furniture to choose from and all their furniture is set up like a miniture baby's room. The choices overwhelmed me! I know we have decided on darker furniture, but there are so many sets! I did fall in love though, with 2 things, the most beautiful chair and an adorable pack-n-play. Which is a changing table, bassinet, and pack-n-play all in one! I love the pattern. There is also a carseat to match and a stroller. Only problem is the carseat and stroller don't come as a "travel system" set. I think our best bet is to go with the travel system (which is a normal stroller but also has a place where the carseat snaps in). SO...because we are having a winter baby, we can just pop the carseat out of the car and into the stroller and not take a sleeping baby out of the carseat and into a stroller. This way, Jeremy and my mom can just have a base for the carseat so that the baby never has to move carseat to carseat. So many decisions! Makes me tired just thinking about it. Jeremy says I need to give up my pattern...not sure if I can! I think the chair will go perfect for a boy or girls room, and it is SO comfy and rocks really well. I think I convinced Jeremy, after all he will be spending alot of time there ;)
Hope you enjoy!

This is my FAVORITE pattern...if you can't tell :)

Left picture is the bassinet "setting" and the picture to the right shows it as a bassinet but also with the "changing station". It even has a place for diapers and wipes. I LOVED!

Matching stroller and carseat!!
