My Little Ladybug!

Hannah was a ladybug this year and what a cute ladybug she was! She hated the costume at first but then she didnt mind having her picture taken :)
I couldnt get enough of her!

She wanted the costume off!!

5 Days of Halloween (Outfits)!

We had such a fun Halloween week- Hannah wanted to dress up in something Halloween-ish everyday this week ;)

So here are 5 days of halloween!

Cannot get her to sit still for pictures!!

Bed Head!

Everyone at daycare always comments how Hannah always has a bow in (which the other kids pull out by the end of the day anyways!) but this is the reason she wears so many bows....

She really woke up with this head of hair!

Much better! Although she is not too happy about having her picture taken :)

It has arrived...

The morning after Hannah turned 9 months old- she cut her FIRST tooth!! I literally screamed so loud- it scared her. Then I called Jeremy so excited and he thought I was crying and asked what was wrong. (I probably sounded like I did when I called him after I took out some of our wildlife population). I don’t know why this excited me so much- maybe because its been a long time coming and she is going to look so cute with one little tooth in there! It’s coming through the gums as we speak and it’s a sharp little thing. She is doing awesome with it. Sleeping great and not fussy at all (Maybe a couple weeks ago was the pre-cursor to this tooth. It was the longest week 2 weeks ago!) But it has arrived and the rest are to follow. I was afraid we would have a toothless one year photo shoot!
At nine months she is:
Sleeping and eating great! Sleeps (most of the time) from 8:30 to about 7:15 when I have to pull her warm, precious little body out of bed. I LOVE the way she wakes up. This past weekend she started crashing at 7:30. We couldn’t keep her up any later!! And sleeps well after 7. Its so nice but sad that I only get 3 good hours with her during the week. I hate that :(
She’s eating all kinds of baby food and LOVES yogurt. She can eat one container fast! (Note to self- give her green beans before yogurt. Her faces were priceless!)
Snacks are not my favorite- I know she has to have them but she got choked up twice and she will now be eating baby food until she is 4.
She is the fastest crawler and will be gone in the blink of an eye. Her new thing is to play in Ruby’s water bowl. Im sure Ruby’s food is next!
She still doesn’t nap very well. Some days she will sleep a couple hours at daycare but other than that she is a catnapper. Im sure she thinks she is going to miss something!
She babbles all day long! Especially when she wakes up in the best mood she talks all the way to daycare!
She LOVES the itsy bitsy spider. Ive been doing it for so long that now when I start she brings her hands together (like she is trying to do the spider) I know she doesn’t know how to do it exactly but its cute that she tries with her little hands!
Still in size 3 diapers and wears all kinds of clothing sizes- Mostly 12-18 months.
Still my wild little girl. She loves throwing things on the ground- and watching daddy pick them up for her. She loves Ruby- she loves when Ruby licks her feet in the high chair and loves when we let her pet Ruby. I know one day they will be great friends :)
Still doesn’t love being left alone- doesn’t really like being put down!
Loves to play & is into everything. At daycare she gets into everything and they tell me I am going to have my hands full! We knew that!
Still the sweetest, most loving child! I can’t get enough of this girl!! I am SO lucky!

a few random (halloween) things...

Somebody slept 13.5 hours last night!!! We put her down at 7:30- she could hardly stay awake and didnt wake up until 9!!!! I couldnt believe it! She has never done that before. Of course to her defense- she rarely gets the chance because her daycare alarm goes off at 7:10 everyday :( The point of my post is while she was sleeping in I was able to get some embroidery done. Its taken me this long to work on some halloween outfits and I love the way they turned out! She will be wearing a Halloween outfit everyday this week! (We started with one on Friday!)
Her first Halloween outfit on Friday!
I can hardly get any pictures of her sitting (thats why most take place in the highchair!)
Alot of her pictures look like this :)
Such a big girl! I love that she feeds herself now- I know Ill miss feeding her but it makes thing so much easier! And I think she likes it too! She smiles so big when she is done- its like she is so proud of herself!

a couple other things I've done....
ponytail holders for little girls

I LOVE applique! At first I wasnt so sure Id like it- but now I almost love it more than monogramming (almost!)

3 years & 9 months

3 years ago today I married my best friend!! And the only person who can put up with me forever :) and 9 months ago our world was changed forever by our precious daughter. I am so thankful for both of them and couldn’t imagine life without them. I am one LUCKY girl!! (especially now that Hannah got one week of BAD sleeping out of her system- we are all lucky!) I remember our wedding and Hannah’s birthday like it was yesterday. 2 things I wont ever forget. Its funny how three years ago we dreamed about children and now I cant imagine life without our crazy little girl. She is my absolute reason for being and I have been blessed beyond words. Just look at those two….the best part of my days!!!

why my friday was so expensive...

this was just not my week. Im ready to start over tomorrow. Nothing seemed to go right- work was long and hard and it ended with a bang....you'll see why.
It was suppose to be my half day but I had a client meeting I could not miss. So I had planned on working through my half day (that is very hard to do!) My meeting was at 3 that afternoon- so I headed over and come to find out- no one showed up. Yep...no one. These are new hire meetings so generally 4 or 5 people come to hear about their new benefits which I get to explain. Well no one came. I was SO bummed! I had spent my whole day preparing (and thinking of a million other things I could be doing with my half day). So I headed back to the office because I had already been there all day I might as well go back for an hour or so. Oh and on my way to the meeting I threw a diet coke in my purse...which was punctured by a foriegn object and poured out into my purse. The whole entire thing. I was literally pouring diet coke out in the parking lot. So I ducked out of work at 4:30 to pick up Hannah. Usually my mom picks her up and we meet after but I love sneaking out a little early to get her (and I figured it would make my day better!). I pick her up- business as usual and Im heading home on Old Henry- which seems to be a busy little road- filled with houses, a couple farms, a school, and even a daycare. Literally OUT OF NOWHERE a DEER crosses the road. I had no time to react- in an instant the deer smacked right into my car. Loudest sound I have ever heard. This thing went flying probably 25 feet in the air and landed on the other side of the road. I can still see the deer flying threw the air and I do believe we made eye contact. It was terrible. Just as terrible as you would think it would be. I am SO thankful I didnt have time to react because I probably would have swerved or slammed on my brakes and made things worse. Thank God no one hit me from behind. I can only imagine what the other drives thought as the poor deer was FLYING threw the air. It was awful. It happened so fast I can hardly remember those first few minutes. I dont know if I screamed or stopped but I slowly drove away (after all you dont exactly stop to see how the deer is) and I pulled off into a parking lot. I ran to check on Hannah- she was crying (im not sure if me braking scared her or maybe I screamed) so I pulled her out- she was ok. Then I looked at the damage- PRAYING there was no blood. How awful. There wasnt blood- just fur. There was some nice damage done to my car- the whole front end will have to be replaced. And come to find out- you do have to file a police report when you hit a deer. I later learned the deer did die and is still on the side of the road. I plan on taking another route to daycare. I was so shaken up. We see alot of deer where we live but it seems that we always have time to react and let them cross. This was one jumped right out in front of me. Just to be safe we took Hannah to Kosairs ER. She was so good....and everything was ok. I was so worried about her. I couldnt imagine if I was ever in a real accident. So $500 car deductible, a trip to the ER, oh and they reccomended we get a new carseat just in case....do you hear that? Chaching, Chaching, Chaching.
To make my weekend a MILLION times better we had Hannah's 9 month pictures yesterday. I dont know how Amanda finds these incredible locations but we were on a random street downtown in front of the most BEAUTIFUL set of doors. That girl is good...ok...GREAT! We are so lucky we found her. I cannot wait for the sneak peek. Hannah wasnt too happy about being changed several times or having her picture taken but I know we got some great ones. Afterwards we headed to the Fall Festival at her daycare and enjoyed such beautiful weather. It was a really nice night.
first ER bracelet
I dont think this picture does much justice. the whole front end has to be replaced!

tiny tush

she is so funny! every morning we have the same routine- I go to change her diaper and dress her and she plans her escape! This morning she really got away from me. I had to hold onto one of her legs and stretch to get my camera as she was climbing away from me! She was after the paci thermometer (which she doesnt want when she is sick!)

doesnt she look skinnier ;)

i knew there was a reason i dreaded mondays...

today just didnt start well. one of those days where you should have turned off your alarm and kept sleeping. Just a LONG morning at work to say the least. not a very good day- and then Im talking to Jeremy (he's been sick) and he casually asks if daycare has called about Hannah being sick, they had not (thank you for jinxing us!) and then...literally 30 seconds later I get 3 missed calls and they page me at work. Hannah is throwing up everywhere!! So I go pick up my poor little girl and run her to the doctor. Not a flu bug like we thought- instead...Croup. Yeesh! And it always happens that there is some huge emergency or some huge thing that has to get done at work on a day she is sick. So I dropped her off to my mom and headed back in :( BREAKS MY HEART! It literally killed me to walk away. I am not too much of an emotional person at work but I couldnt keep it in. I felt so obligated to get this project finished at work but my heart was with Hannah. A working mothers dilemma I suppose. So thankfully Jeremy went into work tonight to get some things and he will stay home with her tomorrow. He probably needs to stay home with him being sick himself. So did it sound like I needed to vent? WHEW! Im exhausted already! (And little miss felt like waking up every two hours last night!)
