Too {Cute} & Too {Funny} Tuesday!

I have found several adorable things recently that I had to share!!
Hannah will be sporting this adorable bikini this summer! How cute is that!?!? If only I could pull that off!

I found a pattern for this amazing Apron Knot dress on Etsy (my favorite!). I'm making it a goal to learn how to sew this summer. I hope this is something I can learn because Etsy has some amazing patterns! I also love the pillowcase dresses & hope to make those too! How beautiful is this dress?!?

In the mean time- this little girl has made us do nothing but laugh lately! Here she is all sprawled out on the floor- wiping the floor with a rag like she is wiping something up. She always pretends to clean things up because she sees us doing it. Monkey see, monkey do!!
She also loves putting things on top of her sippy cup and then pretending to take a drink. Here she is with the same cloth that she put over top her cup. Usually she takes a cheerio and puts it on the lid of her sippy cup and then leans down and eats it off of the top...No clue where she gets this stuff!
And her latest move- this little headstand. I see gymnastics in our future! She then rolls over and laughs so hard!
HAPPY TUESDAY!

lucky

some days I wonder how we got so lucky to be Hannah's parents! her personality is just contagious! we literally did not get out of our pj's today and between laundry and hannah's naps she kept us laughing all day long! it was a great day :)
I forced her to take some more pictures today- Ive been on a picture taking roll lately! Regardless of how I feel they turned out- they are fun to take & I like to share!! And my subject is pretty darn cute too :)

had to occupy her with the blinds!

this is how she feels about having the camera in her face :)

I just had to throw this one in- look at that hair! I Love it! She is definitely feeling so much better and I am SOO glad! This girl just cracks me up!!!

sick days with my girl

I really enjoy the days I get to be home with Hannah while she is happy and there is light outside! Most nights she is over-tired, over-hungry and cant wait until we let her go to bed at 6:30. But being home with her this week has allowed for some picture time! I know she has pneumonia but you wouldn't know it! She's not coughing or congested (which is why I blamed all of this on teeth!). Besides the fever and being very tired you'd never know she is sick. So in between one of her naps (she's on her third nap right now!) I tried to take some pictures. I have learned ALOT more about my camera- but I seriously need a STILL subject! Taking pictures with Hannah for 15 minutes wears me out! She literally doesn't sit. Maybe one day???? We will have picture OVERLOAD with our next baby- I even think Ruby would be an easier subject than Hannah :)

even when Im sick....

I still have my funny little personality :)

another one....

yesterday I got a call from daycare- Hannah had a fever...we all assumed it was her teeth- she's getting some big ol molars and her gums look pretty swollen. So I stopped and got some Ibuprofen and we went home. She was NOT herself- she was very whiny and clingy. She didnt want to eat or drink- I even put her milk in a bottle- didnt want it! Thats when you know something is wrong! She would have moments like that and then moments where she was happy and would play. So all day we alternated tylenol and ibuprofen. We all sat down to have dinner- she was just so cranky and exhausted so right before I put her to bed I took her temp- about 6:30. It was 103.9. I had just given her tylenol at 5:00!! So if anything that fever should be down. That really made me nervous. I dressed her light and put her to bed. We woke her at 8 or so to give her another round of ibuprofen. Jeremy came in to me and said she felt so warm. So we called the nurseline just to be safe. As we were on the phone with them her temp was now 104! That just made us too nervous so we hopped in the car to head about 30 minutes to the after hours urgent care. We were about 3 minutes from home and I looked back and I couldnt see very well because it was dark outside but I could tell her paci had fallen out- that was weird. So I looked harder and she was having another seizure. Same type thing but this was really scary because I had no idea if we should stop and pull her out of the carseat but we just immediately decided to take her to the closest place. I was much calmer this time- I think it was good we were in the car- I couldnt run around the house like a crazy person. But it was really hard because Jeremy was driving and couldn't focus on her so I had to just sit there and watch. We were smart enough to look at the clock and it lasted just over 3 minutes. Terrible. We couldn't drive fast enough. We decided to go back to Kosairs (they know us by now!). We know these are common- it doesn't make it any less scary. I know we probably shouldn't run to the ER every time she has one of these but we both agreed they will probably be seeing us every time it happens! (Yes we are first time parents!). The real reason we had to go was because we had no idea why she had a high fever. Which was why we were going to urgent care. We needed to find the cause of the fever. So they did a chest x-ray and started an IV (SOOO SAD!) and took some blood. Turns out its pneumonia! AGAIN!!! We had no clue. She hasn't been coughing or anything!!! I feel so bad because all day I just kept saying it was her teeth. Poor H! They say its really early so they ran some antibiotics through her IV. Her blood work came back ok- so its just the pneumonia we have to worry about- well and her fever.
Its just so weird because after it happened we both looked at eachother and we were like- we just knew it. Its like as the night went on we had this feeling it was going to happen. Her fever just kept rising. When we got to Kosair they took her temp and it was 104.7!! This was still rising even an hour after Ibuprofen. Thats what scared me.
Again shes a trooper. She hated the IV- I don't blame her. I could barely watch but by the end of our stay she was getting a little spunkier. She even re-set the whole antibiotic machine. That's our Hannah :)

We had a babysitter lined up for today so I could get into work but Im going to be home with her- if it was just her teeth I wouldn't mind but its so much more than that.

This is just scare that I know we are always going to have to keep an eye on.

Look at that sad little IV hand :(

Her bunny gets her through everything :)

14 months

Hannah is 14 months old today- oh my has she been up to a lot!!! I don't think I ever did a real 12 month post and missed 13 months all together!
She is a BUSY Girl! She doesn't stop for anyone! She LOVES to play! She loves other children and will just watch them wherever we are!
She is hilarious! She really and truly has the funniest personality! Its like she is always putting on a show! She makes hysterical faces and loves to show off her little teeth!
She isnt too cuddly anymore- I dont think this will be the child that will grab her blankie and cuddle in my lap!
Instead she wants to find anything dangerous and play with it :)
We are working on saying several words with her- of course they dont sound too much like real words. She LOVES putting the phone up to her ear and saying, "Hiiii Daaaa". Its adorable!! If she doesnt have a phone she just uses her hand!
If we say, "What does a dog say" she says "pffff" (thats her wuff!). When Ruby starts barking I tell Hannah, What do we say to Ruby and she goes "shhhh" with her little finger in front of her mouth! And that is adorable too! I realize I'm biased :)
I just watch in awe everyday how much she is learning. Its so neat that even though she cannot speak she understands what I say. Where is your drink? Where is your paci? Where is your baby? She looks for those things right away!
She is working very hard to use her spoon- she grabs it from us and puts the piece of food on it and very quickly brings it to her mouth. Usually she does that very fast and the piece of food falls in her lap! (I feel so bad when we leave restaurants!)
She helps me buckle her in to her carseat- she knows right where her arms go!
She is learning "shoes" & "socks" in sign language and loves picking up her shoes and attempting to put them on her feet.
I guess I could go on and on about all the things she is learning- but I just love it! You can see how proud she is when she does something new!
At 14 months:
she is wearing anywhere from mostly 18-24 month clothes- we do have some 12 month items still lingering around but for the most part she has kept her rolly figure :)
We moved up to size 4 diapers
No more BOTTLE! WHOO HOOO!! We do still have 3 in the cabinet (we hate to be unprepared!) but we boxed all of the others. Im not gonna lie- as bad as I wanted her off the bottle- it was kind of sad to see them go. I put them in the box and Jeremy said- does that make you sad? And actually- it really did. She is NOT a baby anymore. She does such grown up things!
She still loves the bath but hates having her hair washed. She usually cries through the last part of the bath!
She doesnt really like to be rocked to sleep anymore- and that definitely went away when the bottle did. Now we just lay her down. I try reading to her but she is not that interested- maybe in a few months. Lord knows how often our routines change!
She thinks its hilarious to be chased- especially by Ruby! I will say- Ruby has gotten so much better and they really are too cute together!
Im not sure how much she weighs right now but man is she heavy!! Especially after she eats- Whew! That little belly sticks out so far!
She has 6 teeth mostly all the way in and 2 MOLARS popping through! Yikes!
She is sleeping great though and really eating great! No more baby food for this baby!

The past 14 months have been amazing- We have learned so much- not only about Hannah but about each other. We have been given such an amazing gift-and to us she is absolutely perfect!!
I am SO lucky to be her mother and so thankful that I get to be!!
Its hard to watch my baby grow up but it gets more fun everyday! She truly makes our hearts melt every single day! Still at 14 months I cannot wait to get her out of her crib. On the mornings that we are both home at the same time when she wakes up- we LOVE going in to get her together. She just looks up at us and smiles. Moments like those are truly perfect.

This was the best picture I could get on Jeremy's phone today- she didnt stop moving once! Except she did take a great nap! Then my mom kept her for a while so we could work on
"staging" the house! That is a big job!!! (and its SO hard for me to box up pictures!)

what a beautiful day!

I am SOOO ready for spring and summer to officially be here but before we can call it spring- Ill take this beautiful weather! 75 and sunny- yes please! I couldn't wait to get home and enjoy this beautiful St. Patrick's day! I don't really think I focused at work- I had lunch with a great friend, listened to and watched the U of L game at work, left a few minutes early to get my girl, fed her dinner, then took off in the stroller to the park! I think I might enjoy it more than she does! It just feels SO good to get out of the house! This weekend is suppose to be beautiful too! We will definitely get to the park again- maybe even the zoo!

Yes- that's for real!!
I just LOVE how happy this girl is!!

Also- we are going on 2 nights with no night time bottle! Keep your fingers crossed!

bring on spring!

we've had several days lately that have been 60 or above (even 50 feels warm!) and its been SO nice! I LOVE getting outside with Hannah- especially at her age. Last summer she was too little to swing or pull in a wagon- not to mention it was so darn hot I didn't want to leave our cool house! But this spring and summer will be great! I know it will be filled with LOTS of wagon rides and trips to the pool!
Between trying to get our house "staged" to sell (that's another post!) and keeping up with a VERY busy baby- Ive been dying to get some pictures of her when I can. So today- in hopes that spring will be here sooner than later- I put her bathing suit on to take some pictures! I don't know how much longer this suit will last- it was SNUG!!
Taking pictures of her is getting SO much harder because for one, she doesn't stop moving and two- she has this new thing where she LOVES sitting in your lap. She walks over to you- turns around and just drops her little bottom into your lap. Its adorable to say the least but doesn't work for picture taking!

we headed out for a walk this afternoon- early evening (the time change has me all confused!) and we forgot that right up the street is a church with a playground. We stopped by and put Hannah in the swing, she LOVED it! Laughed the entire time! I'm not sure who had more fun!

and yes- she's in her pj's- I had no idea we'd be stopping for some fun!
