my baby and her baby

Hannah absolutely loves baby dolls. Its about the only thing besides Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that keeps her entertained for more than 20 minutes. She puts her baby in the bouncy seat, she takes her out, she puts her in, and she takes her out. Then baby needs to go night night and Hannah wraps her in a blanket. She stands up, bounces her around and rocks her then puts her in her crib. She rocks her when her baby cries and even shares her milk with her. I could watch her do this for hours. You'll catch her rubbing her babies head, or leaning down to give her a kiss. Its just so amazing how little girls already have that motherly instinct. She is a good little mother to her babies. And I'm so lucky I get to be her mother.

sorry these pictures are so bad- I had to grab my phone and snap :)

Hannah's 2nd Christmas, a puppy and mono!

We had such a great Christmas! There is nothing we love more than spending time with our growing family, laughing, eating, spending quality time together and exchanging gifts. I love getting gifts for people more than getting them. I love trying to pick out the perfect gift for everyone! Hannah had a BLAST! I absolutely loved watching her this year. Last year she was 11 months and a little interested...this year- 23 months and very interested! Once she got the hang of tearing the wrapping paper she was on a roll! Except she would open one gift and start playing with it and was not interested in the rest of her tower. She had so many presents I think she opened gifts all day! She was so much fun this weekend- I loved getting to spend so much time with her. We got so caught up in the weekly routine we rarely just get to lounge around and play all day! She got all kinds of baby doll accessories, musical instruments and lots and lots of books. That girl loves to read! She loves to read and color. I was finally smart enough to get her the markers that only color on certain paper. That girl wouldnt take a pencil if it was the last thing to write with!
My sister was surprised on Christmas Eve morning with a brand new 8 week old puppy!! I couldnt believe it when I saw Brinkley- she is an adorable Sheltie and once she warmed up to us she has been in puppy mode ever since! Hannah LOVES LOVES LOVES this dog. I had no idea she would take so well to her. She follows her every where and loves to chase her around. This does not mean we will EVER get a puppy. We can just borrow Lindays :)

Among all the wonderful thoughtful gifts we all got this year- Alex wound up with the worst thing of all. He has MONO!! The crazy thing is- he has had it before when he was younger. That poor kid. He felt so bad last night he hardly even opened presents. We are going spray the house down with lysol and hope we dont get it.
Other than those two surprises we had such a nice Christmas. There is nothing more than I love spending 24/7 with my favorite people. We just relax, laugh and eat and eat and eat! Hannah is at such a fun age and even though she doesnt understand the meaning of Christmas, Santa or why she was opening presents for hours she was still so fun this year. We even have presents she didnt even open that we might just wait and give her on her birthday! Which is right around the corner!! Now its onto birthday party planning! I still cant believe she will be two!

Here are some pictures from our very fun weekend (these are in no particular order- it is taking forever to upload pictures for some reason). I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and was able to spend time with the ones they love. I am off until next year! I am so excited about the break from work!!

Grammy and Bumpah's first Kentucky Tower! We spent the afternoon of Christmas Eve at their house and enjoyed it so much. A new tradition!!
These are our "famous" towers which I still love! We had 11 people on Christmas morning- it was a packed room to say the least! We took a break, made an awesome breakfast, took naps and then had Round 2 of Christmas!
Not so sure what to think!!
First glimpse of what Santa brought!!
Grammy and Bumpah got Hannah a rocking horse that makes noises and she loves it! She goes so fast Im afraid she is going to flip backwards!
Hannah has the SWEETEST daddy in the whole world. I just thank God everyday for blessing me with Jeremy. He is the absolute best dad to Hannah and loves her more than life itself. He went out and surprised her with her first jewelry box and some jewelry. Even I had no idea :)
Matt and Lindsay got Hannah a tricycle! Can you tell that she loves it??
13 places for Christmas Eve dinner- it was so beautiful and always a special time!
adorable place cards

Hannah spent alot of her time in the toy chest my parents got her. She would rather be in with all the toys then pulling them all out!

Even our new little guy had a tower. My mom managed to shop for him between Monday and Friday! I dont know how she does it!
He has his very own bunny. Its funny how soft and new he looked. We were sure not to show Hannah :) She might think it was a new one to add to her collection.

Christmas 2011 was a success and more fun than I could have imagined. Now onto Owensboro this weekend to celebrate with Jeremy's family. We cant wait!

reason 8,237 why I love pinterest

ok, so pinterest obviously has the best ideas. I have no shame in using someone elses ideas. I have already found a million great things for what we hope to be is our new house. Its just a gold mine for great, beautiful and perfect things. I found the cutest idea for teacher gifts for Hannahs teachers. Not to mention so super easy that even I had the patience for it. HOW CUTE ARE THESE!!! Everyone loves a gift card which is why it is always my go to gift but dressing it up like this made it even better!

It might be a little late but here is the original blog post with the directions. We printed ours at home and they turned out just fine :)

I am also so bummed my slideshow for our gender reveal party didnt work. Maybe if I get a spare second I will work on another one....

19 weeks & 23 months

We have almost reached the halfway mark! Im glad for that! It means I feel better and now I look a little more pregnant than just looking like I ate too much! I get to feel our sweet little BOY kicking and Im sure hoping the energy boost comes at some point. However, Im not too sure that is going to happen. I just seriously cannot keep my eyes open at night. Actually having a hard time doing that right now. Im thankful to know that everything on the ultrasound looks healthy and we got to see him in 3D. Still a little weird and hard to make out but we didnt ever see Hannah in 3D. I think he has a cute little button nose just like her though. They get that from their daddy :)

Im so glad we have found a home we get to settle into and that we have enough time to get it ready before he arrives. I still cant imagine how Hannah will react when she sees a REAL baby that is coming home with us. I think she'll be great.

Now onto my little 23 month old! I cant believe next month she will be TWO! This year literally flew by. So much has changed in such a short amount of time. My little baby has turned into a little girl and knows her mind! Just like a strong willed, independent woman! Strong willed is probably the best word to describe her. She knows what she wants when she wants it :) And things need to be done on Hannah time. She likes to do things at her own pace. So needless to say, getting ready in the morning is a much longer process these days. There is no quickly eating breakfast or quickly getting dressed. It is a long process that usually involves coloring some sort of picture, a snack because she hasnt eaten any breakfast that Ive fixed and a few conversations with the dogs. Oh my this girl is funny! Strong willed but absolutely hysterical and loving. She really can cuddle- usually when we snuggle in for the night and "mimi" is on. She wont be my cuddler- Im hoping I have a momma's boy who loves to snuggle!
She LOVES coloring and drawing (a pencil will never do- it always has to be a pen) and she loves counting. We count everything. She is learning more numbers and will actually repeat up to about number 5. She used to say "one, two" and restart at one. Her little voice melts my heart. I absolutely love how every single morning when Jeremy is already gone for work the very FIRST words out of her mouth are, "da da?". You wont find a bigger daddys girl.

She is loveable, sweet, sassy, and hilarious all rolled into one! She truly loves her baby dolls and puppies. Probably her two favorite things.

Everyday we are so thankful for her. We are thankful even in the hardest moments. Hannah- we couldnt be more grateful for the last 23 months. You are our world and make our lives so much better! Thank you for being you! (but...if you wouldnt mind...it would be great if you wanted to eat dinner or get dressed without a little bribery!) :)

We spend alot of time like this. Never crying...just showing her independence. She looks up every few seconds to make sure we are still watching ;)

But more like this! She loves playing & laughing! This girl can run around & play games all night!

Gender Reveal :)

We got to peek in on our new little addition yesterday and I loved seeing that precious face all over the screen :) CUTE if you ask me! Everything looks good but the baby wasnt to cooperative so we might have to go back to get a better look at some things. Ok with me! We told the ultrasound nurse that yes we wanted to know the gender BUT we did not want to know at the appointment. We wanted her to put the gender in an envelope and seal it up! Im sure she has had weirder requests! So she gladly obliged and I traveled on pins and needles to my moms friends house who was going to make pink or blue filled cupcakes for us. We were having pre-dinner cupcakes to reveal the gender to our families. I cant believe I made it that long- how does anyone wait until delivery? We all arrived and my Grammy had the sweetest little party decorations for us. I had no idea my sweet little grandmother would have decorated with pink and blue all over! We all grabbed a cupcake and I must say I couldnt have bit into mine faster. Since I have felt very strongly since the beginning that is was a boy I was dying to see if it was pink or blue! Before anyone could even get through their bite I yelled, BOY!!!!! Even though I had thought it was a boy all along I was still so shocked and excited to see the blue! I am so excited to have a little boy- I know Jeremy is STILL in shock. I think he still thinks its going to be a girl. Nope- I saw the picture- that's no girl!! We all celebrated with eachother and just enjoyed the moment. I absolutely LOVED the way we did it. I had SO much fun last night- it was so awesome being just as surprised as everyone else. Hannah enjoyed sneaking some frosting and we paid for it cause she was up LATE :) Im a little tired today. And my mind was racing with all things boy!! I said maybe one day we can give Hannah a sister!!
I wish I could have posted these pictures one by one but it took forever. So here is a little slideshow. You can tell my look of true shock! It was just so awesome. We had Team Pink and Team Blue! I was on Team Blue all the way! Hannie loved the party- she was so fun!

Oh and they moved me up a week to 19 weeks- YAY for that! Im all about that!

I sure hope this slideshow comes up- Im not sure I did it right!

our next house??

this has been a crazy week! But I am SO excited for SO many things that are coming up! Tomorrow is Pink or Blue day! I cant wait to check in on our little one and then the pink or blue buying can begin! I am so excited to kick start the week with that exciting news then wrapping up Christmas shopping and begin the festivities! Christmas is by far my favorite holiday and I cannot wait to watch Hannah this year. I think she is going to LOVE it! I am so looking forward to a long vacation from work and heading to Owensboro to visit Jeremy's family to celebrate Christmas and the New year! Of course, Im pretty sure I wont see any ball drop this year....again!
The biggest news thats been working is some house news....we may....have our....next HOME!!! I am so beyond on excited but I do not want to get my hopes up. This is such a long drawn out story so Ill try and save most of the details but we've been eyeing a house that we love that we know we will never outgrow...and if we do, we have too many kids and too many things! ha ha! But really this house has more room than we could have even thought we would need. Its the most perfect location, most perfect layout and even though it needs alot of work it felt like home when we walked in. Its perfect. Its a vacant house with an asking price that we felt was way to high. Lets be honest- it needs alot of work. Not that its not liveable right now but it needs all new floors. Lets just say this- like 8-10 people lived there- I think 2 families. They lived HARD in this house. So all the floors have to be replaced, its a little outdated and needs new paint. But overall- its just what we were looking for. So we talked out all the details, saw the house several times and finally decided to bite the bullet and make an offer. We were a little nervous because we were really throwing out a low offer because we knew going in we had to put thousands into it. And it also doesnt have a fridge, stove and needs a new dishwasher. So Wednesday we submitted our offer. I was interested to see what they countered back with but we didnt even get that chance because there was already on offer on the house! WHAT??!?! I was devastated. And I knew we had no shot because our offer was going to be so low that there is no way this offer was less than ours. We had to wait and see if that offer was accepted and then we could move forward. I was just really bummed because there is nothing else out there that we wanted. So we waited and Thursday night we heard that the other offer was not accepted. Im sure you can imagine my surprise and excitement! We submitted our offer and just waited....Friday night we heard the good news. They did counter back but surprisingly they countered with a lower price but selling it as is pending the inspection. Which means we need to come in and replace all the floors and paint it ourselves, but at this point I think Jeremy and I both knew that it was the price we had both agreed on and if it meant we needed to put some into it we were ok with that because we will be there for a LONG time! (I hate moving and dont want to do it again!). So....we accepted their counter offer!! WHOO HOOO!!!!!!!!! Now...I dont want to get too excited (even though I already have!) because this is all pending the inspection but if that all goes well then we have our next house. I am decorating it right now!! I am thinking of carpet, paint colors, my huge master closet and my second floor laundry! Something I am VERY excited about. It has a finished basement so that is one less stress too! Its on a cul-de-sac and in a neighborhood that almost connects right to my parents. Jeremy and I feel so relieved and we are just so thankful. Ive been praying about this alot- that if this is what is meant to be then it would all work out. It seems so far is has worked out. I mean I think its practically a miracle that other offer wasnt accepted. Maybe this is really meant to be our home. I so badly want to share pictures but I know this house isnt sold until we get the keys at closing so Ill just share the picture of the front of the house. I cant wait to take before and after pictures- its going to be alot of fun. And alot of work- dont get me wrong. But we will get to make it ours. This is just such a relief. Well....almost. Ill let you know in 30-45 days :)

weekend recap!

We had such a nice weekend! Friday we had a date night and were able to have a nice quiet dinner and FINALLY get some Christmas shopping done. We had not bought one thing for Hannah so it was nice to get some of that done. Saturday morning I had some pictures to take then we all met for lunch and Hannah and I came home and had a nice nap! I love weekend naps- they feel so good! Saturday night Jeremy had to go to a Christmas party so Hannie and I had a low key night and decorated the tree a little more. Sunday we spent the afternoon with the Flynns. It was so fun getting the girls together! They loved running up and down the hallway together laughing and playing. It was fun to watch!
Back to the grind tomorrow but 1 week until we get to find out about Baby A and 2 weeks until Christmas! What a GREAT month! Im feeling alot better and finally feel like working on some crafts and finishing up Christmas shopping. Here's hope this week FLIES by and we get to enjoy the weekend again! We are in full search mode for a house but not too much is on the market that fits our criteria right now. We do have one house we may make an offer on but Im trying not to get my hopes up! I dont want to be disappointed but hopefully this might be our forever house!
I have to share a couple of these pictures- this little guy was absolutely PRECIOUS!! He was so chunky and adorable. I could have kissed on is round little face all morning!

16 weeks

I thought I might try and keep some sort of pregnancy log for baby #2....Im not doing a good job of writing things down at home- seeing as though our stuff is either in a pod or somewhere in my parents house! I just dont have it all together right now.

So this will serve as my log....really for my own record :)

Ive been feeling alot better lately. I can stay up as late as Hannah (who is staying up later than 6:30 these days!) and Im enjoying some dinner. Lunch has always been my best meal- so I try to enjoy that when I can!

I havent really had any cravings or aversions- in the beginning chocolate milk was about the only thing that eased my stomach but I can pretty much handle anything right now. Sometimes I just kinda dont know what I want and nothing sounds good. So thats hard when my stomach is growling at me!

Im still doing pretty good weight and clothing wise. My dress pants still fit and all my tops but I did go ahead and buy a pair of maternity jeans. I forgot about the stretchy waistband! I know by the end of pregnancy you cant wait to have pants that button again but I have been enjoying my stretchy jeans!

Im really missing unsweet tea and diet coke. I will splurge on a caffeine free diet coke every once and a while but its not the same. Neither is unsweet tea made at my desk. I want a big huge unsweet tea from McCallisters with lots of lemon! YUM!! I kind of miss deli meat- but mostly like a big club sandwich from a restaurant. Ill eat PB&J at home- that holds me over!

Chasing an almost two year old around is still wearing me out at night. I pretty much crash each night but hoping Ill perk up a little as I get further into my second trimester.

Things I am so excited for: finding out if we will have another girl or a baby boy! Either way, we cannot wait!! We've really only decided on a boy name- I am so convinced its a boy that I have no clue what we would name a girl. I will be really shocked if its a girl! But Ill have all the stuff- thats for sure!

Im also excited to find a new house and really start decorating both of the kids rooms. Its so crazy to say that- I cant believe we are on number two!!

Ill post more updates as we go along...unfortunately I hate pictures of myself so I can probably guarantee there wont be any belly pics!

sunday with santa

we have had a really nice weekend- one of the busier ones we've had in a while! Mainly because I have not been able to function until this week. Im am definitely seeing the light! I can stay up a little later and I can even eat dinner now! I usually have alot left over but at least Im eating something. Friday was my half day- which is always wonderful. I met some friends for lunch and came home and napped. It was so nice and quiet. We didnt do much Friday night but enjoyed a low key night. Saturday we ventured out to Christmas in Anchorage. Last year I had a booth but I had a little too much going on this year to prepare. Maybe next year. It was fun and even picked up a great little gift for Jeremy. He was a little nervous when I told him it came from a craft fair. But I thought it was great! Hannah didnt let us do as much shopping as we would have liked so we dropped her off and my mom and I went and grabbed lunch and made a target run. We have been so busy and Ive been so sick we both realized that was one of the first Saturdays in a LONG time that we have gotten to do that. It was nice! That night we met friends for dinner then the guys enjoyed some spirits at Brick House while Court and I splurged on water and a dessert. After all, between the two of us we are eating for four :) Sunday I had Courtney's baby shower- we cannot wait to meet sweet baby Pierce. During her shower Jeremy took Hannah over to their house to let Blake experience life with an almost two year old. Im surprised they even got to watch football and werent talked into "Mimi" (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). That is her new obsession! She has never been too interested in tv but mimi is requested on a daily basis. Then we came home and dressed Hannah in her Christmas outfit and took her to see Santa. She was not having it! Didnt even want to get near him. I got a few pictures of her clinging to us and by the time we were going to get the good crying pics Santa went on a break. She ran around and played a little then we headed to dinner with my parents. My dad doesnt eat very much anymore so he rarely goes out to eat with us. So it was a really nice dinner. Hannah was so hungry she actually ate almost her entire meal, sat in the highchair like a big girl (thats another post- she hates the highchair these days. We've moved on to a booster seat at home) and she colored and was very well behaved for Hannah at a restaurant. It was a really nice ending to a nice weekend. Back to the grind tomorrow. The weekends just fly by and work just drags on :( Thats life I guess!! Here are a few pictures from our visit with Santa....sad to say it but I dont even have one picture of jolly ol' st nick!

I loved her outfit- she looked so cute :)

not so sure about sitting on Santa's lap!

she loved running around with the kids!
