32 months

Hannah is so many things these days. Hilarious, FULL of energy, loving, caring, empathetic (for the most part!), inquisitive, picky, determined, SMART, strong willed, perceptive, stubborn, fun, beautiful, cautious, and wild at the same time! She is such a little person and not a toddler or baby anymore. We have real conversations about school, friends, love, family, mickey mouse, baby dolls, using the potty and food. Sometimes bed time cant come soon enough but then sometimes she is down for a nap and you wish she would wake up. She keeps us on our toes and you can never be too prepared with Hannah. You always have to be one step ahead. She is a lover of many things- her pacifier, her crib, music, her bunny, and her brother. She loves him more than I thought I would realize at this age. She always asks where he is, tells him bless you if he sneezes and tells me when he is crying (as if I cant hear it!). She has a true caring heart and is so funny with her baby dolls. She is either changing their diapers, putting them night night, rocking them back and forth or putting them in time out. Most recently, "baby" as she named her, had to go to time out for hitting Owen. Then she made baby give Owen a kiss on the head to say sorry...mmm...I have no idea where she gets this?
She never ceases to amaze me with how much she remembers. You cannot get anything past her. She is a sponge and soaks up every single thing we say and do. I didnt realize how smart two year olds are. I love listening to her, I love having conversations with her and I love watching her learn and love. She fills my heart with so much love, sometimes I just squeeze her until she begs for me to let her go. I cannot get enough of her. Im so thankful for every strong willed moment :)

What a week!

This week has been crazy to say the least. We've had something pretty much every night and Ive had a million things to do. I was even shopping at walmart at 7:15 one morning. Of course, Im a morning person so Id rather get it done bright and early and come home at night and crash! Wednesday night we celebrated my grandfathers 95th bday! It was so nice to sit with him, enjoy dinner and cake and just talk about what a great 95 years it has been! I asked Hannah whose birthday it was and she said, "Mine!" oh my!! At least she doesnt cry when other people open presents...yet...

Oldest & the youngest!!

Cheers to 95 years!!

Last night we went to the Pass it on Kids Sale- I had put alot of stuff in that sale so I sure hope it sells! I got some great things for the kids. I love those consignment sales. When the kids need new wardrobes every year its nice to be able to find such great deals! Hannah and Jeremy had a little daddy/daughter date night at Baskin Robbins and we took Owen to the sale with us. He was great!

I am so beyond exhausted, I think I could sleep for so many hours. We dont have much to do this weekend and Im so glad. This week really did me in. Soccer for Hannah tomorrow morning- lets hope she remembers that she did like it by the end of her last practice :)

Midweek randoms!

Every week at daycare Hannah learns a new story from the Bible. Last week was Adam and Eve this week was Noah and the Ark. Ive been asking her questions about these stories and here are just a couple of her answers.
Hannah can you tell me about Noah?
He ate an apple.
Oh he did? He didnt build an Ark?
No, he ate an apple with God.

Hannah, who built the ark?
ME!!

Oh geez!! That girl is nothing short of hilarious. I mean seriously I just laugh at all the crazy things she comes up with. I tell Jeremy all the time- She is going to be SUCH a handful when she grows up. I see a class clown in our future!! I absolutely LOVE hearing about her day and all the things she learns and does. She performs alot of dances and songs for us- this week its, "Going on a bear hunt". Its amazing to watch :)

Today my grandfather turns NINTEY FIVE!! I mean how amazing is that. He is such a sweet man. He was a pilot for American Airlines and I could listen to his stories over and over. Especially the ones about how they served steak in first class and how the passengers would applaud his landings. Just a neat man. We are having a nice big dinner celebration for him tonight- 95 is something to celebrate!

Owen is sweet as ever. Im so thankful for such a good baby or I would never be able to get all the things done that I have to do. Sometimes I take on way too much- and most of the time I wonder what I was thinking! Always committing to monogram something for someone, or taking 130 items to a consignment sale at the last minute or trying to get some project done around the house. And that is my fault but I do dream of nights where I can just SIT for more than 30 minutes and watch TV. But without such a sweet, calm, patient baby boy Id never be able to do it all. Last night my mom and I sorted & pinned clothes and he just sat and watched us while he was just laughing and smiling away. I cant get enough of him!!

Thats really it for now. Almost to Friday! We have soccer again on Saturday and then not much else planned. It feels good to have a free weekend!!

Soccer star!

We had a great weekend! And Jeremy was off ALL weekend which made it that much better! I cant tell you how happy that makes me!! Saturday was Hannah's first soccer practice :) Lets just say that in the first 20 minutes we thought we were going to be asking for our money back. She was not into it at all. BUT Hannah is also the kind of kid that is very cautious when she is starting something new and almost timid. But once she gets relaxed and watches everyone else she jumps right in. I should have known it would be like that- that is just the kind of girl she is! There were alot of kids there so it was pretty overwhelming. But she is playing with her best friend Emma so that helped alot too! They looked ADORABLE! I was surprised we got her shin guards on but we did and I can just see her as a future soccer player...well maybe. They had a great time and it definitely wore them out!

Snack time! The best part of sports, right? I swear we don't teach her to open things like that :)

After soccer we met Jeremy's sister and family for lunch since they were in Louisville for a couple hours. It was so nice to see them!
That night was so beautiful and Western was playing UK so the Flynns came over to grill out, watch the game and let the girls play. They were hilarious all night. We couldnt stop talking about how grown up they were. They are two are quite the pair!!
Sunday I didnt leave the house and I didnt mind one bit! We played outside with Hannah all morning, washed both our cars- she loved it, and I got stuff together for a consignment sale. I thought about taking it to an actual consignment store but I hate the idea of it just sitting. At least at a kids sale you get a rush of traffic. I spent yesterday pulling out clothes and pricing it all- I have 130 items and you wouldnt even believe the amount of stuff I have boxed up of Hannah's old clothes. I just cant part with it yet :)
Other than that it was an awesome weekend. The weather was great and it was just alot of fun quality time spent with our babies!!

And a few of this angel!

4 months!

Little man is 4 months old and SWEET as ever!! Goodness, that little boy has stolen my heart. He is smiling, laughing, kicking, moving, trying to roll over, sleeping great and overall just a joy to have around. Jeremy and I say on a daily basis how lucky we are that he is such a good baby! He makes my mornings SO much easier. The only I could say about him is just how much he eats and then how much he spits up. Poor little guy!!! We have alot of wardrobe changes :) He is just ADORABLE! I cant even tell if him and Hannah look alike at this stage but he is a tad bigger than she was at 4 months. At 4 months he is 16 pds 6 oz and 25.5 in long. Big boy!! The car seat is tough to carry around- man that thing is heavy!! I dont want him to grow up but I sure am excited for him to be able to sit in a car so I dont have to lug that thing around! I think we switched Hannah at 6 or 7 months to a new carseat so I will be ready for that day. He is just such a joy! He loves smiling and laughing and rarely cries unless he is hungry. He is eating about 4-4.5 ounces every 3-4 hours. I feed him between 9 and 9:45 at night and then its lights out. He wakes anywhere from 3 to 4 am or sleeps until 5:30. You just never know sometimes! But Im so used to those hours that I have more energy than I thought I would. I have no problem falling asleep at night!
He is still in size two diapers and wearing 6-9 month clothes. His little legs are getting chubbier by the day! They will never compete with Hannah's legs though! I love learning more about this little guy each month and everyday is just such a blessing with both of them!!

Birthday weekend!

I had a nice birthday weekend spent with family and enjoying the beautiful weather! Im so relieved its finally getting down to the 70's and low 80's! I was so tired of the heat and so ready to be able to take the kids outside and not feel like we were in a sauna. Jeremy and I were able to get out for a dinner date on Friday- so that was really nice. We are still a couple of old people and were home at a very reasonable hour. Ha ha! Saturday was my 30th birthday so we celebrated with dinner with the family and we also took the kids to the Middletown Festival. It was a beautiful day for it but there wasnt too much Hannah was interested in. But it felt nice to get out of the house anyways. Sunday we went and got Hannah her soccer ball and shin guards for her first soccer practice this Saturday. Then we took her to the park to kick around the ball and she wasnt really interested! I sure hope when she sees all the kids playing she will be much more interested. But Im not too sure....
Overall it was a really nice weekend- Im excited to enter into my 30's- I have a feeling they will be just as awesome as my 20's! My 20's were filled with so many HUGE events that it might be hard to top, but I know this decade will be filled with watching our children grow into little people and sending them both off to school and getting involved in sports and other fun events. Crazy to think about them getting that much older- I want to keep them as babies!!

The sweetest little angel!!

Love her!!

Showing us her soccer skills :)

Crazy couple of days!

This has been a crazy couple of days! Ive actually been able to sleep in some but I have been exhausted! Story of my life I guess. Maybe Ill catch up on sleep one day :)
On Tuesday, Hannah went to Owensboro to spend the week with Jeremy's family and celebrate Jacey's 8th birthday! I cant believe she is 8- I literally remember the moment I held her for the first time. She was 4 hours old and Jeremy's mom handed her to me as we were standing in the hospital room. I kept thinking- do not drop this brand new baby! Ha ha!
So Jeremy and I spent some time spoiling Owen and getting a few projects done. On Wednesday we had the weirdest storm blow through and knocked out our power for 3 hours. Now this wouldnt have been a big deal, especially since Hannah was safe in Owensboro and we were able to take Owen with us to grab some dinner. BUT....I have a deep freezer with about 200+ bags of frozen breastmilk and I was going to do whatever it takes to make sure it was ok. So poor Jeremy- I know he thought I was a crazy drama queen but he- the loving hubby that he is- ran to the golf course and got a generator. I couldnt take any chances- I worked SO hard for all of that this summer. The power came back on 3 hours later thankfully!
Then Thursday morning I had to travel to Owensboro for 2 meetings for work- I started driving at 7:20 am and swear I felt like I drove all day. I could not have a job where I drove all day. I was seriously EXHAUSTED by the time I got home. But I got to Owensboro- pulled into a parking lot to pump- ha ha. I never thought I would find myself in so many random parking lots pumping! LOL! As I was doing that. Jeremy called me to tell me Hannah was sick with a 102 degree fever. My first instinct was to go get her right after my meetings and bring her back but I knew if I brought her back with me I would have to take today off and due to my maternity leave I basically have no sick days left. So it was a much better option for Jeremys mom to keep her until today and give her some extra love and snuggle time! Im SO thankful for Sue these last couple of days taking care of Hannah. Sue wanted to get Hannah into the dr so I met them and gave her our insurance card and they took her to the dr. Turns out she has a virus but Jeremy didnt tell me before my meetings (to save me from worrying) but Hannah had a small seizure and was throwing up. That poor baby- broke my heart. Sue said it only lasted a couple seconds and she was kind of like staring off and shook a little but wouldnt respond to her when she called her name. Thankfully it wasnt anything like the other 2 she had in the past but still scary. The dr said to rotate motrin/tylenol and let it run its course. Sue kept a very close eye on her and let her rest as much as possible. They are coming back today and I cant wait to snuggle her!
In all of the craziness Jeremy did get two projects done around the house- the list is SO long. I just look all around and realize how much we still have to do but I need to focus on how much we have done! After we installed the new countertops we had not picked out a backsplash- truth be told, I was being very picky and couldnt find one I liked. So we went to Lowes and I found one I loved! It matches perfect!

We also got the screen door put up on the deck door. During the fall I love having windows and doors open so I wanted this screen door to enjoy the cool weather!
But now I'm ready to enjoy this weekend & celebrate my 30's!!

Poor guy gets all the pink hand me down toys! He doesn't mind!

Long weekend- in iPhone pictures!

This weekend was one of those weekends that actually felt like a long weekend! I love that feeling. I mean it went fast but but not as fast as usual. I feel like I actually got to slow down and enjoy my weekend! Probably because I had an extra day. What a dream to have Mondays off!
It rained alot but that didnt stop us from having fun! I actually welcome the rain because Jeremy just seeded the yard and I will take all the free watering we can get :)
Hannah and Owen were both awesome this weekend. We had alot of fun spending some quality time with them. Here is our weekend in iPhone pictures!

Saturday night was make your own pizza night!

We had people over for the UK/UL game on Sunday. Since we are a house divided Owen wore blue & hannah wore red- for most of the game!

Pierce didn't like the color of Owen's jersey!

Go cards!

Attempting a picture of the kids! Poor Owen cried through the whole thing!

These guys are all fraternity brothers...things sure have changed!!

Worn out!!

Monday my parents neighborhood was having a little petting zoo so we took hannah up there- she loved seeing the animals but was not interested in riding the pony!

Yesterday I told hannah she was such a sweet little angel...she said, I'm not an angel- I'm hannah! Well if that isn't the truth, I don't know what is!!

Watching big sister Hannah!

We had a great weekend- hope you did too!
