our going away party

We celebrated our big move with family and friends on Saturday night. There is no doubt we have so much love and support. As hard as it is for everyone to say goodbye, especially our families they are the ones who are right by our side telling us this is the best for us. Even as painful as it is. We laughed, we cried (ok...I cried!) we told funny stories and just enjoyed the company of people we have truly spent years and years with. High school friends, old college roomates, former co-workers, grandparents, sisters and brothers, everyone you can think of! We had a great time. The sun was shining, the day was warmer than it had been and it was the first night Jeremy and I have really had a night out since way before Owen was born. We really enjoyed ourselves! Saying goodbye to my little brother was the hardest goodbye to date. I feel like he is one of my children!

the countdown is on

We are in countdown mode to be back with daddy!! I can say in the same breath how ready I am and how not ready I am. The goodbyes have started and its already been hard. Ive even been choked up saying goodbye to some of my clients and those people arent even family. I did have a mini breakdown last night thinking of the special people in my life that I have to say goodbye to and not only that, they just wont be around to meet for dinner, get the kids together, etc etc. Just hard stuff. Im sad Im going to miss some of my favorite friends having babies and other big milestones in their lives. BUT we are lucky to have the technology we have and we can instantly get pictures at any time!
I have three days left of work, a to do list that is a mile long, a going away party on Saturday and Jeremy comes home tonight! Im surprised I even sleep anymore with all the things running through my head. But Im pretty exhausted by the time 10:00 rolls around and I can barely see straight!
This week was eventful as they all seem to be. Wednesday I took both kids to the ENT for ear checks. Owen's tubes are right in place, Hannah's did come out which was what we were wanting. Dr Coppola just reached in there with his long skinny tweezer things and pulled them out since they were laying in the ear canal. She did AWESOME. She even smiled when he told her he got the potato out of her ear :) One ear has a hole in the ear drum which isnt good if it doesnt heal but we wont deal with that until her ears fully mature. We met my mom for dinner and then once we got home I was changing Owen and noticed a big red rash all over his trunk. It looked like hives and was bright red all over. I went ahead and took him to the pediatrician and it was just an allergic reaction to something. So I spent most of Wednesday in dr offices. But we are just using up the FSA money we have :)
My work threw me a surprise going away get together yesterday- it was so thoughtful. They have always been so generous to me and they gave me the nicest gift card. It was so thoughtful! Im thinking lots and lots of new desert appropriate clothing :) And some new things for the house!
Tomorrow will be one of the hardest days on record. Saying goodbye to so many people. We are having a going away party and as excited as I am to see our friends and family I know the night will end with LOTS of goodbyes and way too many tears. Im not good at goodbyes. I already get choked up thinking about Hannah leaving her Busy Bee classroom. Will she miss her friends? Its just breaking my heart!
But with Goodbye, comes Hello. 1 week until we say HELLO to a brand new world!!
ENT appointments! She did awesome!
She LOVES this kid. They make eachother smile!
SWEET boy!!!

vegas house

After spending many hours searching houses in a city 1800 miles away- that's very hard by the way! And sending Jeremy to many houses to drive by and look at- we finally found a house that will be great for us as our temporary home. We are renting for the first year to make sure we get a feel for everything out west. The market in LV is awful so yes you can get a really good deal but to buy takes months and most houses are short sales and foreclosures. Its a mess. Our realtor told us in a couple months the banks are releasing 70,000 foreclosures. Yep, you read that right. 70,000. So renting for the first year just might work out for us and maybe we can snag a foreclosure.
I really liked this house because the whole first floor is open. I can see those sneaky little children of mine at all times :) The yard is small and its definitely smaller than our last house but it will definitely work! Bonus- it has a second floor laundry. Almost feel like I can do without it!
Here are some house pictures in no particular order!

Home Sweet Home!

Here is the view from the front door. You basically walk right into a large living area. Its been updated with new blinds, lighting, granite, appliances etc. Most of the houses we saw had white appliances. The houses were SO dated.

This is a dining room that we will use as a playroom. Its right behind the kitchen and will be great as a playroom. We needed an extra room like that for all the kids stuff!
View from the dining room/playroom.
Full bath on the first floor.
Kitchen is open to the family room.

This is the bonus room, 4th bedroom. Its HUGE. Im so glad because since losing a 5th bedroom we have lots of stuff to fill it with :)
view from the bonus room down the hallway. Master bedroom is on the end and the kids bedrooms on the right and left.
 Kids bathroom
View out of the master- we have a balcony off our bedroom.

Master bathroom- walk in closet to the right. We actually have two closets in our room which is nice because we need all the storage we can get!
 Backyard patio- balcony above
View out the front door- I love the cobblestone.
Playground in WALKING distance for us! Very excited about that.

View of our neighbors from our balcony. Houses are really close together.

upstairs hallway- told you these were out of order!
view from the other side of the balcony
View from the eat in kitchen
Our HUGE backyard :) We do have a corner lot so the backyard does wrap around the side of the house, thankfully.
Walking to the front door.

Overall, I think it will be a good fit for us for a year- then we can move for a 4th time. Pretty sure people wont be answering their phones when we call to tell them we are moving AGAIN! ha!

crazy town.

To say things are crazy is an understatement. From the moment we get up (which is sometimes at like 3:30 in the morning when Hannah wakes and decides she wants to sleep in MY bed with me and Owen, then proceeds to cry when I say no and wakes my mom up and ends up in bed with her and my dad) Its AWESOME. So things are crazy to say the least. We get up early, shuffle two kids out the door work all day, pick up the kids and start the night time chaos. My mom and I literally feel like we run a marathon but dont end up going anywhere. We take 2 steps forward and usually end up about 6 steps back. Its crazy. I know my parents are relishing every crazy moment but its overwhelming to say the least. Hurricane Hannah makes her presence known in every single room. Its nothing out of the ordinary to hear my dad say...Owen dont chew on those cords or Hannah put those scissors down (actually she is REALLY good with scissors, except when she put them up to her hair and said, I cut my hair?!?! NOOOOOOOO!!! So as long as we all make it out in one piece and give my parents their house back we will all be happy!
Anyways- whats my point. We have no time to ourselves. We dont get a free moment to ourselves ever. When I finally get down for the night sometimes Im even too tired to talk to Jeremy. So I have not had a chance to post like I would have liked to. The to do list is LONG! TWO WEEKS from today is my last day of work. Its kind of crazy. After mornings like this morning I am MORE than ready. Im ready for less structure and more free time with my sweet babies. Im excited about playgrounds, spending alot of time outside, cooking and baking with them. Im sad about alot of things but Im going to take advantage of this awesome opportunity we have been given.
This post was suppose to include house pictures but Ill save that for another post. Maybe two in one day! A few pics lately....
They LOVE eachother. Melts my heart.
Yes, this happened. Its madness :)
103 fever means sleeping in a diaper!
 Back to the doctor...
Im SO ready for this!!!

It also seems as though my sweet Owen cannot catch and a break and is always catching something. He had a 103 fever around 3 am on Sunday morning so Sunday night I decided it was time for urgent care- they said he had ear infections again. I started to ask my ENT for our money back but it just didnt add up because they werent draining. So I kept him home Monday- he had another 102.5 fever and was MISERABLE. It broke my heart. Then Tuesday I took him back to school and he was still so miserable so I got him in to the pediatrician who said it was not ear infections and was actually strep or a viral throat infection. He is already on an antibiotic so we will just finish that out and hope he doesnt get sick for 2 more weeks and we can get in some nicer weather. He's not eating and just plain miserable :( Im hoping he doesnt get all this stuff when we are home. But I dont mind all the sweet cuddling!!
