More Owen Adventures!

We leave for our two week trip to the beach tomorrow and we can't wait! Actually, Im ready for Owen to stop asking when our airplane is going to be ready...he started asking the first Monday Hannah was gone!

We're wrapping up our only child stint, I will say, it was so easy I didnt even know what to do with myself! So I painted, and painted and painted. Im all painted out. BUT I LOVE how it all turned out. I got alot done, we spent some quality time with Owen, we were able to rest most afternoons, and we ate out more than usual because Owen is pretty darn good at restaurants and doesn't eat anything so it was like Jeremy and I were going on dates again ha ha

We have to wear rainboots to the mailbox
And we tortured him with another haircut!

 love him!
We took Owen golfing at his request, I actually had alot of fun too, and Owen was happy!

 my favorite guys!

Thats about what my swing looks like!

We took Owen to Jeremy's shop so he could look at the "back hote" as he calls it, its adorable. But even though he is smiling he was SO nervous. Jeremy got the keys and started it and Owen was not happy about that.

The kid is OBSESSED with trucks. He knows most of the names of them and tells me what they are. I took him to several parks and we had to bring trucks and he would just sit in the dirt and play trucks. Im like, we can do this at home kid!

And to his request, we took him to Chuck E Cheese. He saw a commercial for it (Thank you Disney Channel) so we just went and got $10 worth of coins and let him play. However, he didnt even need coins. He just ran around and pretended to play everything. Now I know where I can take him for free ha ha

We are grabbing dinner tonight and going to play golf again and then we head out tomorrow! Looking forward to two great weeks in Seabrook!!

Life with Owen!

Life with just Owen is definitely different! He is definitely easy and so low key. Just give him trucks and dirt, and he rarely even asks for food. We usually just share lunch and he goes on his way! We've been playing and reading and enjoying our one on one time together but we definitely miss the crazy that Hannah brings!

Last week we signed Owen up for Vacation Bible School so it was each night from 6-8. We couldnt find any programs that took children as young as three so I was glad when we found this. I wanted him to do a little program before he starts school and he did great. ALL the little ladies loved him. They would always say, Owen is so sweet, he is the cutest, gosh he is so adorable. So I was glad to hear all that. And not that he was a trouble maker :) So this left Jeremy and I with 2 hours each night last week for some time to ourself and because we are signed up for a co-ed softball team, we went to the batting cages! Whew, I needed some practice! We even met with our team and had softball practice, I think its going to be fun!

Im onto another project! Ive painted 6 rooms, 3 vanities and the kitchen cabinets. Im working on Hannahs room now and Im kind of over it. Her room was bright purple so it needs two coats of primer and paint. Its getting old! I will start posting before and after pics soon.

Owen has finally stopped asking when we are going to the beach but when I got my suitcase out, he hopped right in! Then filled it with his trucks. Everyday he makes a pile of trucks and says, we take all these to the beach?
This is heaven for Owen. Once we get done with a few more indoor projects we will work on Owen's little sand pit!
bathroom painting. Im impressed Ive painted so much!
Celebrating Shark Week in shark clothes!

Third trip to Lowes in three consecutive days. And we still need to go back...

Cant keep clothes on this kid!

I love his little beachy surfer boy hair :)

World's Okayest Team had our first game on Saturday. We won one and lost one. Every Saturday we play a double header against the same team. As nervous as I was, I played right and left field and managed not to strike out :) Im glad we are doing it, Im excited for Hannah to watch us play when we get back from the beach.

He was telling me stories about monsters in his room during our lunch date :)

These two got to face time and you wouldve thought they were in the same room! They were causing enough trouble 1800 miles away. They both lit up when they saw eachother. It was the sweetest. They must have said I love you and I miss you 20 times. It was adorable!

He does tell me he misses her everyday.

 These were his batman moves!

Hannah is off on her big adventure!

My mom flew from Vegas to San Francisco for a fun girls trip so we spent those last few days before she came back to get Hannah doing some fun things!

A trip to the library!

 More pool time, obviously!

Jeremy has been working like crazy for his big tournament which includes 12 hour days and weekends so when he got off on Saturday at 8 am BEFORE the kids got up, we went to grab breakfast and ran some errands. Here is Hannah being Jane, we call her Calamity Jane. She pretty much falls, runs into things, drops everything and spills everything. She was having a total Jane moment!

For the 4th of July we just hung out at home and took the kids to see Inside Out. Hannah was dying to see it! Owen did pretty good, until about half way through and he was done with the popcorn, he looked at me and said, I wanna go home. Im like uh not right now kid! We have awesome views of the strip (and the whole city really) from our master bedroom windows so we watched fireworks all over the city from our bedroom. We did a few sparklers and called it a night!

Sunday morning before her flight I was trying to wear her out!

These two are so funny. So close, so physical, fight so much, and love so much more.

We have been trying to keep it quiet that Hannah was leaving for 3 weeks. Owen is not taking the news well. I knew Id miss her like crazy but he REALLY cant stand being without her. We went to get her a new suitcase for her trip and we grabbed it and started to walk away and he started crying asking why we werent getting his. I knew it was going to be a LONG three weeks!

She drew him a picture, she was really worried about him.

We met my mom at the airport and they were off! Hannah was so excited.

The first day without Hannah was so weird. There was no fighting, I got to watch tv before bed, but it was so quiet, too quiet. I felt like half of myself was gone. I swear I looked at flights all day to figure out how we could get there ha ha. We already miss her alot. But Im going to let her enjoy her special vacation and work on some projects, enjoy getting to sleep in my own bed and spend some quality time with Owen. Hannah is being very well taken care of and I know she's having more fun! She is on day two of Camp Hi Ho and she's riding ponies, water games, playing with puppies and kittens, and pretty much doing whatever she wants!

Summer Fun!

Im just playing catch up, mainly because we've been relaxing, doing projects, sleeping in (well, kind of, the kids have been sleeping past 7....amazing!) and just enjoying summer days. HOT summer days I might add. Like 20 something consecutive days over 105...just hot!

Here's a few pictures to catch up. My mom was just here for two weeks and we had a great time! Lots of pool time, playing, projects and painting. I won't be sad if I never see a paint brush again....but I wont get away with that! Two weeks sounds like a long time but it goes by fast and we never get all the things done that we think we will!

Spiderman undies and rain boots...adorable. Have I talked about how awesome this kid has done with potty training? He just picked up on it so quickly!! SO proud of him. And little boys in tiny undies....cuter than diapers :) And I DO NOT miss buying boxes of diapers or changing them!

Pool days...we spend alot of time here and I LOVE it.

At least he puts them back on after he goes potty....well sometimes. What is it about boys wanting to be naked all the time?!
 BEAUTY

 Crazy kid!

Yes, seriously, she was "cold" at the pool. It was like 108.
 So many Elsa fashion shows!
The kids are both in swim lessons and have only had 6 lessons but I can proudly say Hannah can swim! I really didnt think after only 6 lessons she'd be swimming comfortably but she has done amazing. I am so proud of her. I still have her wear her life jacket when the pool is crowded or when she wants to swim to the waterfall because she still has alot to learn and needs to get stronger but she has done great! Owen is doing well too, mostly just blowing bubbles and treading water :)

 LOVE his morning bed head.
 Slip n Slide birthday party!

Girls day getting our nails done before she leaves me for 3 weeks! Im not sure Im ready for that!

Had lunch with daddy at work. The kids couldnt wait to ride in the golf cart!

Hard to believe its July!! And harder to believe next month she starts Kindergarten...talk about not ready!
