Easter Weekend!

We set out for a weekend away to California for Easter weekend. I was still not feeling great but knew getting out of the house would help. It was a great weekend! We got in early and were able to catch up before dinner, then had a busy next couple of days!

Saturday morning we went to the neighborhood park for an Easter egg hunt, the kids had alot of fun! Tons of eggs and with a little help they both found golden eggs :)

We dyed some Easter eggs, thank goodness for teacher Kelly!

That night we had tickets to go to Medieval Times, I was excited to take the kids!

The kids really loved it. Hannah LOVED the chicken, she still talks about it ha ha

Easter morning we had lots of fun Easter surprises, amazing food, and egg hunts!

Getting in the car was TOUGH. I was dreading that 4 hour ride home, not feeling so good. And it was LONG and no one slept! It was a great weekend though, thankful we have them close to share holidays with them :)

OH BABY!! (for the third, and final time!)

Well...it's true! I never thought we'd have a baby in Las Vegas, I'm a detail person and I just couldn't wrap my head around all the details of a third baby without family, and just being 1800 miles away from home but....that baby fever kicked in!! ha ha We are SO excited to complete our family with this sweet third baby. The kids are SO excited. Owen has been so cute asking us so many questions like, if the baby is sleeping, if he's eating and talking in there, does he have clothes...just some funny ones! Hannah is pretty excited and dead set that she wants a baby boy! That girl is smart, she doesnt want to fight for attention of one more girl. She told me, "I hope its a boy so that it can still just be me and you to do girls days together." Funny girl!

We've had alot of fun telling our families and friends. Im trying to soak up those fun moments because this will be our last and I know it's the last time we'll tell people we're having another baby for the first time, make sense? Lol. Im trying to embrace ALL of it...especially the sickness. Im trying to do my best and not complain but WOW it has hit me so hard. Why is it we forget all of this?! Jeremy sure doesnt ha ha. I do remember how sick I was with both kids and have said so many times I have no clue how I worked full time in a professional setting with clients and felt this way. Because now it takes everything I have to get out of bed and not look like the walking dead! It has been ROUGH. It hit me at 6 weeks and now as I'm typing this I'm 14 weeks and still struggling. I will say, it has lightened up, then I got hit with a nasty stomach virus so Im slowly feeling back to normal. Normal as in, my mornings are the best, I can stomach lunch, dinner is still up in the air because I never want meat and I just cant stomach cooking anything, and then by 8 Im DONE. Thankfully my little sleeping partner Owen is pretty easy to get down.

Edit- Im now 16 weeks and just now finishing this! This shows how my lack of energy has really taken a toll on me!

I will say, Im feeling MUCH better. I dont feel sick all day which is nice but some of my nights are still pretty tough. And I have NO energy. Even when I get a burst and decide to clean the house top to bottom, I can only hang for a couple hours then I truly need a nap, it wears me out! I thought during the second trimester you got an energy burst....not here! Im trying to hang but with so.much.baseball our nights are late and Im usually beat! I'm going to do my best to update as much as possible, I am SO behind on posting but will catch up!

SIXTEEN WEEKS!

Feeling? Feeling good most days, some days I feel kinda yucky but the all day nausea is mostly gone. Nights are still hard, although, I am eating dinner! That's a win for me! By bedtime I am DONE, I am so tired and can barely stay up but overall I am much better than before.

Maternity Clothes? I did cave and buy maternity shorts because none of my shorts fit, I do have a pair of jeans that fit, all my tops fit but I think the days are numbered. Here's the good news- I can wear yoga pants and workout clothes almost everyday so I wont be spending a bunch on maternity clothes, yay!  When I worked I had to get super nice maternity clothes to wear to client meetings so now Im grateful to get to dress comfy each day!

Sleep? Im am sleeping great and hard, I might wake up once a night but always go right back to sleep. My exhaustion catches up with me by 7:30
Movement? Feeling some kicks but still too early for lots of movement, I cant wait for the kids to feel it!

Cravings? Carbs, carbs, carbs. Ha ha I am actually eating more protein these days but I usually stick to carbs. I found this amazing bagel at a local bagel shop, it takes everything I have not to get it every day. Cheddar jalapeno bagel, SO good. I still havent been able to go back to my hot, black coffee in the morning so I switched to decaf coffee, add ice and add this delicious Salted Caramel Chocolate creamer and make my own iced coffee. I cant wait til morning to make a huge cup!

Gender? We're pretty sure we know, looking forward to surprising the kids!

Symptoms? Nothing too bad right now, just the nausea that hits at random times. And the exhaustion, I guess Ill never get energy back!

Best moment of the week? Love hearing Owen's funny questions about the baby, he is always asking me about the baby. Hannah keeps changing her mind on a boy or girl!

What I am looking forward to: Next doctor appt, May 23, Anatomy/Gender ultrasound!

15 weeks, I swear Ive gained 3 pds since this picture. Hannah keeps telling me my belly is getting bigger, um....thanks???!

Spring Break!

Its the first day of spring break and we were up already fighting at 7! These two fight like crazy but then love eachother like crazy. Guess I have to get used to this!
We dont have big spring break plans but I cant tell you how glad I am that we get a week break from life! Homework, uniforms, packing lunch, carpool lines, baseball practice for 2.5 hours and just the regular routine! It was great sleeping til 7 and not having to pull Owen out of bed.

I might have posted this picture...but Owen is ready for Baseball! Actually he doesn't like catching or playing in the field, he just wants to bat! He's got an awesome swing on him!
Spiderman had his bike a thon last week. He rode 25 laps!

Popsicles after!
On our way to baseball, he looks so big!
Hannah had a field trip on Friday to the horse farm we like to visit. They all had a pretty good time! But by 11 they were all HANGRY!

Owen got to participate too :)

Starting on some backyard projects. We knew the backyard would be a huge undertaking when we bought the house, but we were just happy to have grass and not just a concrete jungle so we were excited. But now....man I wish we had one that didnt need any work!
We will head to California on Friday for Easter weekend with the Knapps, we are looking forward to it! I just need to figure out how to entertain these two for 4 days....or teach them how to play by themselves!

Catching up...again!

So how many of my posts are titled this?! The days sometimes creep by but then I look back and time has flown!

Just playing catch up since Hannah's birthday, the best way I know how...through pictures!

We enjoyed basketball season and loved watching her do something new...but we are ready for baseball :) She did great, she played her little heart out, they won two games!

 Joe Cool!

BEYOND proud of my sweet girl...she got another award at school. She was on the honor roll this time. SO proud of this girl. She may be my strong willed little girl but she is awesome at school. She works hard, she is a great friend and does everything she is supposed to.

Owen started Tiny Tigers karate...I thought he would love it. I pretty much spent every session begging him to go out there. He's a cautious little mama's boy!

We had a blast at Hannah's birthday party!
Owen had just has much fun :)
We went to the Home Depot workshop for kids in February. They made Valentine boxes and they turned out super cute. It was SUPER crowded but the kids had fun banging hammers and painting!

Hannah and her best friend River at school at their Valentines party. My sweet girl!

That night she got to go to school for Movie night. No parents! can you tell she was excited!

I took the kids to a local farm to ride horses, Hannah LOVED it. That girl would ride horses ALL day every day if she could. She absolutely loves it. Owen just enjoyed brushing the mini horse :)

Owen loved this rooster, it was hilarious watching him talk to the rooster.

Basketball season came to an end, they were super cute!
I am so thankful for how involved Jeremy is. He is the best. I dont give him enough credit but couldnt do it without him. And now he is taking on the head coach of Tball! Good luck!
My parents flew in on Valentines day and it worked out perfect because Jeremy and I got free tickets to go see Adam Sandler and his buddies, something we never wouldve done. It was hilarious!
 We had awesome seats!

We had a great week with my mom and dad. It always flies by but so grateful they came out. Being 1800 miles away is TOUGH but those visits every couple months are really what get us through! we've got spring break coming up, then my mom comes in again, baseball season has started (H is playing with 9 year olds!), then before we know it, it will be June and summer will be here! Then a LONG trip home and a week at the beach. I can already taste all my favorite Louisville restaurants and can SMELL the sunscreen and sand!
