No News is Good News
August is also filled with my mom and dads birthdays, and their anniversary (going on 32 years...I think that is right! WOW!) and fingers crossed we will be finding out what we are having the last week of August!
Im doing ok right now...still losing weight. I still cant believe that! Down 9 pounds now...not into maternity clothes...or really even thinking about them yet. But I have been warned...one day its just going to hit me and my pants wont button! Ha! I still haven't caved and bought anything yet. But Im finding its very hard to find anything gender neutral. Once we know what we are having, all bets are off!
Jeremy and Ruby have been busy at work. Ruby is still the little rascal that she has always been, so I am seriously looking into Bark Busters. It is an in home training program where the trainers come to your house and train your dog on anything you need. Then if you still have problems or a new problem arises, they come back for the life of your dog. I do believe they will be losing money on Miss Ruby! But I think it will be well worthit!
I hope everyone has a great, relaxing weekend!

OH BABY!!!
June 10th was our first doctors appointment and I was 7 weeks 3 days. We got a little snapshot of our "Little Peanut" and that is exactly what it looked like. Kinda like a fuzzy little peanut. We just went back July 8th (11 weeks 3 days) and were able to hear the most amazing sound you could ever hear! The heartbeat!! If you could only record that sound and play it over and over...music to my ears :) Even Jeremy thought it was pretty cool!
I am in HUGE countdown mode for the last week of August....that is when we will find out what we are having! We get to find out at 18 weeks. I don't have any idea how people can wait until the baby is born. Of course...maybe that is where my impatientness sets in.
I'd love to start feeling better too! The only way I can describe it is like one constant, massive hangover. I have been blessed with Night Sickness. Which I really shouldn't complain about too much. Its so much better than having to deal with being sick at work. But poor Jeremy hasn't had a home cooked meal in weeks! I cant even open the refridgerator without being hit with a huge wave of nauseau. I come home from work and sleep...eat a little...and sleep some more. I think even Ruby feels neglected. She hasn't gotten her Dog Park time in. Give me a couple weeks and I will have lots of energy...or so they say. But right now I cant imagine being able to get through a work day without wanting to crawl under my desk and snooze. I cant even imagine what it would be like to get through a whole dinner without making some seriously grotesque faces. Im sure Jeremy just loves sitting across from me. Of course, Ive lost a little weight so that cant be too bad...Im sure Ill make up for it!
Off to Enjoy the weekend ahead! Looking forward to some R & R!

Ruby In Action
This was Ruby's first snow! We got about 12 inches in March 2008 and Ruby loved it!
This is Ruby's nightly routine, she jumps up on the bed and right before she lays down, she makes this crazy nest. Flipping her nose and moving the covers. We think she did this at the breeders in the pine straw where the puppies stayed.
Ruby going crazy over her bowls! This one is kinda long, but you get the idea! She was so little!
Bad Blogger!!
2 months after our wedding...as my Christmas present, my husband got me the best gift! A PUPPY!! We got a Golden Retriever puppy and named her Ruby. She had me fooled those first few days, sweet, calm, shy....then she broke out of her shell and realized she was HOME! Now she is a rambuncous, almost 2 year old, and acts like a teenager! Stubborn, doesnt listen, and well does basically whatever she wants! HA! Luckily we are very blessed that Jeremy gets to take her to work everyday. Her main occupation, besides tearing up our pillows, is chasing geese off of Jeremy's course. She runs fairways and jumps in countless lakes just to patrol the course. There is rarely a day he doesnt take her, so on Saturday mornings (her day off) when Jeremy leaves for work she is left wondering why she is stuck home with mom! I am convinced she gets depressed when she isnt there with him. Jeremy doesnt belive me :) Here are a few pictures of our precious pooch. I tell her its a good thing she is cute...or else!
During the summer we spend hours at the Tom Sawyer Dog Park. Worth every penny! Ruby Runs and Runs and Runs...that dog cant ever run enough. You know when she lays down that she is DONE! Last summer we were introduced to the "water tubs" at the park. A great way for the dogs to cool off. Well Ruby wasnt sure what to think about the water at first, but once she got in...she never got out! We also created a monster out of her because she now thinks the lakes at Glen Oaks are very large water tubs. This summer Ruby has taken over the tubs. She kinda thinks they are all hers! If another dog is already in the tub, she puts her front paws in and just patiently waits until the other dog gets out of her tub! We even bought one of those cheap plastic pools and she LOVES it! She has successfully chewed the sides of it, but thats a retriever for you. They always have to have something in their mouth!
She loves chasing soccer balls, and Sticks, those are her favorites! Im sure my shoes would rank up there but we dont throw those around for her!!
2 things she does best...snuggling with dad and chewing up stuffed animals!

Negril, Jamaica- Our Honeymoon
This is us before we "set sail"! We tried all of the water sports they offered, including snorkeling, it was a big step for me!
This is at Rick's Cafe, which is a big tourist attraction in Jamaica. Some of the Jamaicans would go around and collect money so people would pay to see them jump off of high ledges and one even climbed a tree and jumped! Some of the tourists decided to join in....including my husband...when in Rome, right?! I missed him mid-air but I did catch his splash!
Here is a picture from horseback riding. My horse ate the entire time, so I had my own personal escort to move "Laser" along!
Glass bottom boat ride, with our host, as he called himself- Flava Flava! He was hilarious! The staff of the resort made everything wonderful!

Our Journey

We began our "married journey" on October 20th, 2007! (We began "our journey" long before that! Almost 6 YEARS ago!) We cannot believe it has been that long! Jeremy and I had the best wedding weekend anyone could ask for! Amazing weather, amazing company and an amazing ceremony and reception. You never know what kind of weather you might get in Louisville in October, but some how it was 75 and sunny! Our wedding ceremony was at Anchorage Presbyterian Church, such a beautiful setting. The reception followed at Hunting Creek Country Club, I dont think anyone stopped dancing! The next day we were able to spend in Louisville with family and fall weather. Alot of my side of the family lives in California so it was nice being able to relax and spend time with them. That night, we went back to our new home together and got ready for JAMAICA!!
