I havent blogged lately...mainly due to the face that one of my sweet children dropped or stepped on my Mac and it has the smallest dent in the top. But that small dent has damaged the screen from the inside and it basically looks like my screen is shattered from the inside. AWESOME. At least they are cute :) So we took it to the Apple store and for the price of an Ipad mini they can fix it. So we havent had a chance to go back down there and drop it off because one, the Apple store is a good 30 minutes away and I am not ready to part with my computer for 3-5 days even though I can barely see! Anyways...Im hoping this blog post looks ok and doesnt have too many errors, ha ha!
So last week Jeremy had a conference in Orlando and instead of staying here alone for the week we decided to take a road trip to California to visit with our Cali family :) We had a wonderful time and it was a nice little break!
We did some fun things with the kids and enjoyed the company! Thankfully Im getting really good at traveling with the kids...its not always easy. It stresses me out sometimes but Ive learned to actually enjoy packing up for trips and enjoying these times with the kids. They are usually really good when we travel, so Im thankful for that! I was even brave enough to stop at outlet malls with them on the way back!
We took the kids to one of those blow up places, Pump it up! They had fun, and were pretty tired!
Tuesday we took them to Pretend City which was so neat! It reminded me alot of the Discovery Museum we have here but the whole place is just like a little city! They both had a blast. Owen just loved riding in all the cars they had everywhere!
They had everything you could think of, the beach, the library, the farm (with real chicks!), grocery store, doctors/dentist office, play house, art studio, post office. It was so neat! Great place for kids.
Wednesday was Hannahs big day! The Knapps wanted to get Hannah an American Girl for her birthday so we drove to LA and went to The Grove, which was a beautiful outdoor shopping venue and enjoyed the sunshine!
She picked Isabelle, the Doll of the Year and got a special outfit for her. It was really special for her. She loves this doll and wants to show everyone her new baby. It was really funny to see all the new dolls and everything they have for these dolls. When I was little, my Grammy got us all American Girl dolls when we turned 7 until we were 13. So for every holiday we got outfits, beds, all the accessories. I had Samantha and she had the most beautiful pieces. She wasnt even at the American Doll store, she was too old! Talk about making me feel old!
So many decisions!
Lunch with Isabelle :)
The Grove
And that was one worn out girl!!
We got back on Thursday and Jeremy got home late that night. It was good to have him back home! I know he enjoyed his trip but there is no place like home :)
