weekend getaway!

I escaped for the weekend and didnt know what to do with myself! Flying alone, only having to remember one bag, it was very different than Im used to! It was a very nice weekend and Im so thankful for a husband who survived for 48 hours and didnt complain once or call me telling me to change my flight. I am so lucky and thankful for him. He's an amazing dad and he can do it alone! I think the key was that it was March Maddness :) So Im already planning my next getaway during basketball season!
I dont think Ive ever escaped anywhere by myself for a weekend without kids and I will say it definitely recharged my batteries. Jeremy has work trips here or there and I know that probably helps keep him sane but I think we all need to get away sometimes to recharge. I definitely did! I missed them like crazy and loved the updates he would give me (I got some good ones!) but I knew all was taken care of at home and I didnt worry one bit!
Megans shower was wonderful and Im so thankful I was able to be there. We are so close to them I might as well take advantage of these times because eventually we will move and wont be this close. Now in about 3 months Im going to go back so I can get my hands on that precious baby!!

We made Jeremy a Dad's Survival Basket! They starting getting into it before I even left for the airport!!
The night before I left we grabbed dinner and the kids got ice cream cones, this is how Owen chose to eat his. Looks like he wanted a milk shake! It was a disaster and turned into such a huge mess but look at that face!!
They are SO sweet together, most of the time :)

While I was gone Jeremy was having Hannah pick up some of her toys and she looked at him and said, I have to do everything around here!

We also didnt tell her where I was going when I left because she loves the Knapps and we knew she would be sad she wasnt coming. So randomly on Saturday she asked Jeremy, Is Mommy at Megans for her baby shower? Now that is one smart girl who listens and remembers everything we say whether it was this morning or 2 weeks ago. Smart kid!

The theme was Buttons and Bow Ties, turned out ADORABLE! Food was amazing, loved spending the weekend with a family who is basically my second family. SO many hilarious laughs!!
Brock and Megan as babies. They will have one precious little boy!

Loved this diaper game- there were some really funny messages to the new parents for middle of the night diaper changes!

It was a great weekend! Today we pack and clean and get on an airplane again tomorrow for the beach!! Pray for me, these are going to be some LONG flights! My 30 minute flight to California was a dream!!

and finally catching up again!

Ok, so Ill follow pictures in this post again...besides watching Frozen on repeat Im going to need pictures to remind me what we have been up to!

Before we got Frozen we were watching Home Alone on repeat...can you tell what their favorite part is?!?!
GAH!! Love his cheese face. He is saying SO many more things these days. Im glad because I wasnt quite sure he'd ever talk! He says, bubbles, truck, popcorn, apples, football (his FAVORITE word), Hannah, banana, mama, dada, keys, cheese, animals & animal sounds and more Im forgetting. He's getting alot more vocal :)
Just found him hanging out in daddys hat!
Beautiful night at Town Square. We had to make a night out of taking my computer to the Apple store since its like 30 minutes away. So we played, shopped and had dinner. Which is much more difficult these days with a child who hates the highchair!
These two....they are the most loving set of siblings but man can they fight like cats and dogs! They fight over this horse, alot!
My Auntie Carol came to visit 2 weekends ago and we had a great time catching up! Im so glad we had the time with her. We just hung out, relaxed, walked, took her to Red Rock and Jeremys course. It was wonderful!!!
The MOPS group had an outing at CiCi's pizza for make your own pizzas and a tour. Im grateful for this group and some of the outings we've been on!

Weather has been great lately, it was 80 yesterday and I got some sun!
Lunch a couple weekends ago..its a good thing theyre cute!

Jeremy does have an amazing course!

She put Owen to "bed" and made sure they both had puppies to cuddle :)
Such a beautiful girl. And she LOVES playing mommy to her babies!

She can be so loving and helpful to him!
She told me she wants to be a teacher when she grows up and asked if Granmommy could teach her. So sweet. She reads ALOT to her babies. I LOVE watching her play.
He was in time out...doesnt it look like it?!

Fixing his car. Already playing with tools and loves anything with a ball! He will be in sports in no time!

Hannah's home alone face!

So this weekend I fly to California for Megans baby shower and then Tuesday we leave for the beach. Im SO excited. It might be warmer here but Im not worried about that. Im just looking forward to some much needed rest and relaxation with family!

When Hannah was almost 3 I asked her questions as a fun little interview- you can read those answers HERE. Then a little after she turned three I asked her the same questions to see if there was much difference, those answers are HERE. So now that she is 4 I wanted to do the same. Hoping to do this every year to see the way things change! This girl has changed so much since turning 4, It has to be one of my favorite ages :) I am beyond thankful for this time I get with her. Random park trips in the middle of the afternoon, painting toenails, braiding hair, telling funny stories. SO beyond grateful for a beautiful, loving, hilarious daughter.

catching up!

I havent blogged in forever it seems like and I need to play catch up! To b honest its really because this computer isnt fixed and looking at this screen drives me crazy! Anyways, this post will be completely out of order but Ill just follow along with the way the pictures upload :)
This poor little guy was so sick for about 2 weeks. He started with a stomach bug and threw up a couple times and once we thought it was over he would randomly throw up in the morning. At one point he was SO dehydrated and lethargic we took him into the doctor and they did a urin test on him. He didnt go for 5 hours. But he did bounce back and showed me he was ready to take on the world every day at 5:30 am :)
 He IS so irresistible!
Hannah started a gymnastics class in February. She really did like it! I didnt love the teacher so we will be looking for a new place but this was a good way to test the waters. She didnt love dance class so I think she needs something more physical! Not surprised one bit!
Hannahs Valentine Day party for school was held at the Kids museum. We just love that place and Im so thankful we have a place like that. We have a membership so I take the kids alot!
My mom came to visit and we made another trip to the museum. They have so many different things for the kids they are pretty content! Owen was still a little under tne weather but he is much better now. We had a great time with my mom. We just relaxed, took walks, played with the kids, did some hobby lobby & home goods shopping and really just enjoyed the low key time with her. It of course is so hard to see her leave but in less than a month we will be meeting them at the beach!!
This past weekend we went to a local farmers market & just enjoyed the beautiful day!
Hannahs tags for her Valentines bags. They didnt want candy so we did bubbles and those big balloons!
She is just the best. She may be strong willed and determined but I couldnt even love her anymore. She truly has the kindest heart. She tells me all day long, Mommy, I love you. Mommy, youre pretty. Sweetheart!
And this one! I took one bite of his banana and he cried for 20 minutes. Ill never make that mistake again!!
Fun little park at the Farmers Market!
Valentine Bags! Lots of kids in her class
New favorite thing....getting in the pantry and closing the door behind him. He has always loved hiding in cabinets and cupboards! Not surprised!
Date night while my mom was here :)

Our new favorite thing to do is go to ice hockey games. Jeremy gets tickets through work thankfully and we go pretty much every weekend they are here! I never thought I would like ice hockey but the games are fun and the kids are always really good. Owen doesnt take his eyes off the game. He loves it! Just one of those things Ill look back on and remember the special times we had while we lived here.
Jeremy's Valentines Card we made him :) I will say, the candy isnt even gone yet but I need to just throw it away!
She LOVES flipping! Definitely need to get her back in gymnastics.
Fun at the ice hockey game!
Sweet babes before church. When we picked Hannah up from her class the teacher told us what a sweet and kind little girl she was. Made my heart SO happy. Makes me feel like we're doing something right! ha!
Its rare we get a picture together but Im trying to be in more pictures!

Ok so thats basically what we've had going on! I also joined a MOPS (mothers of preschoolers program) and it will be great for all of us. Hannah & Owen get to play with other kids and I get about 2.5 hours with adults. We have breakfast, listen to speakers, sometimes do crafts. Just a great way to unwind and drink my coffee without worrying who is going to spill it :)

Next weekend my Auntie Carol is coming so we are excited to show her Vegas! Then I go to California for a weekend getaway for Megans baby shower. NO KIDS! This will be the first time EVER that Ive left the kids and done something by myself! But two days later we leave for the beach- just me and the kids so that will make up for it :) Im really nervous about flying that far to South Carolina just me and the kids (I mean one flight is 6.5 hours total flying time! ouch!) but I can do it! Im definitely not as scared as I once was! We cannot wait for the beach trip. Then not long after that Owen turns TWO! How on earth did that happen!?!?
