In one week...

She has said DaDa, CLAPPED!, puts her arm up (in an effort to wave!) and has taken several steps standing behind a walking toy. I cant even believe it!!! The transformations from 7-8 months are incredible. She has literally done this stuff overnight! I about died when she clapped. Its like she knows she is clapping too. Im hoping I can edit a video clip my mom has of her clapping and saying dada. Its ADORABLE!! How on earth do I leave her in the mornings?? I would give for one day to just sit with her and watch her play. No laundry, no house cleaning, no work- I just want to sit and play with her all day!

She makes the funniest faces! This is where she is making the sound, "OoooooHhhh!"

My LOVE BUG!

SURPRISE!

We had such a fun surprise get together for Jeremy for his 30th birthday- and he really had NO idea!! Blake kept Jeremy occupied all day at BW3's so I was able to cook & get things ready. We started with appetizers and drinks at our house before we headed out for the night! Its been SO long since we have had a night out like that but we were missing H the next day! Hannah was in good hands and we were able to enjoy a night out with friends celebrating the old guy!

SURPRISE!!

And somebody is saying DA DA!!!! She is just growing to fast for us! One day she starts sounding out her "d's" and the next she's going crazy repeating "dada"! We know she doesnt know what that means but soon enough she will! She changes so much just in a day. One day she starts figuring something out and the next she is on a roll with it. The next 4 months are going to be full of such big changes. Im ready but a little sad too. I LOVE hearing her voice though! Its the absolute best start to my day and listening to her repeat Dada is the neatest thing!!

a few more things...

I cannot get enough of this machine! Jeremy knows its the best money we've spent- I dont bug him during football anymore! However he does have to "babysit" while Im crafting because H wont have anything to do with her toys- she wants cords, glue guns & scissors! Daycare told us she really only likes dangerous things. Nice!!

Hannah's picture day dress!

I have so many new things to come!!

I realize how cliche this is...

but WOW time flies when you're having fun! I cant believe she is 8 months and I really love every stage more than the one before. (Of course, ask me that when she is a teenager and driving!) She is SO fun right now. She just laughs for no reason and babbles so much more now. She smiles so much and doesn’t want to sit still. I cant believe how active she is so early. She loves being around people- daycare comments how social she is but that she kind of likes to be the center of attention…UH OH! She doesn’t care who she is around she just doesn’t want to be left alone. We walk out of a room for one second and wow she goes crazy!!! I just look at that face every morning and can’t help but think how lucky we are. She is the most beautiful and sweet baby- of course Im a little biased :)
What Hannah is doing these days:
She pulls up on everything! She has mastered the crawl and is FAST! She will bypass all her toys to get to Ruby’s toys and Ruby does the same thing to get to Hannahs toys!
She is babbling so much more and working on the “I” sounds.
Still NO teeth! Im convinced She will walk before she gets teeth.
She hates being left alone, but wouldn’t care if a stranger was sitting with her.
She is eating cereal & a fruit for breakfast with a small bottle, a bottle and a fruit for lunch, 2 more bottles and a stage 3 veggie for dinner and her night time bottle! Whew! This girl can eat!
In the past week she has really started to LOVE her finger foods- puffs, yogurt melts, rice bars, cookies- she loves them! And they make quite a mess!
She is sleeping (most of the time) from about 8:30 to 7 am. She still loves her paci which sometimes gets us into trouble in the middle of the night because she cries out for it. She will sit up in bed in the middle of the night and cry out because she doesn’t realize she can lay herself back down! Not so funny in the middle of the night.
She is the sweetest in the morning. I just LOVE pulling that girl out of bed. She stretches so big! When I turn the lights on she just lays on the changing table and smiles with her eyes closed because it’s too bright. Adorable!
I am so afraid she will be walking early. Im not ready for that!! Crawling is good for now!
She is wearing all kinds of sizes- I blame it on the clothes manufacturer. (Ha ha!) She can fit in most 12 month clothes but wears some 18 month pants or pajamas! Hey- they shrink! I really think we skipped 9 month clothes and went right to 12. She is slimming down though- all this moving has kept her weight pretty steady!
We are all having so much fun with her! I cant even believe in no time Ill be planning her first birthday. How on earth did that happen?? I just don’t want her to get any bigger than this. She is so loveable and sweet- I squeeze and squish her SOOO much!
She is so determined to get where she is going!!
we love the zoo!

Look how sweet they are looking at eachother! (& yes that is green beans on her face!)

and we are sleeping again at the Adkins house!

Hannah is feeling so much better which means we are sleeping again!! Thank goodness! She is back in her bed (yes we snuggled her in between us for about 4 rough nights!) but she slept better in between us than in her bed. She moved back into her bed this weekend and was back on her normal schedule! YAY for sleep! She looks and feels so much better! And big discovery...this little girl is getting SKINNY...(Ok- skinnier!) Her little belly is slimming down and she isnt as solid...her arm rolls are getting a little squishier! She is still as juicy as ever and I could truly take a bite out of her every day! But because she doesnt stop moving- she is slimming down!
Sunday morning she woke us up with her morning jabber (which poor Jeremy only gets to listen to on Sundays (Have I mentioned how much I cant wait for him to stop working saturdays?!?)) Anyways- Jeremy goes in to get her and called me into her room...Here is what we found!
She has officially pulled herself completely up! Thank goodness we are as low as we can go with the crib.
This weekend was nice and relaxing- a nice weekend to let Hannah fully recover. We spent some time with Blake & Courtney on Saturday watching football (ok the guys watched football- Courtney and I looked at cabins for our October Gatlinburg trip and made a run to the pie kitchen). And Saturday and Sunday we took Ruby to the dog swims. She LOVES swimming. This dog was meant to live on a farm. I really wish for her we had land and a lake! I actually look forward to the dog swims as much as Ruby- they are pretty funny! I love the dogs in the life jackets. Ruby wants nothing to do with shallow water- she wants to dive and swim all day long!

And just some pictures I had to share- I cant resist this girl!

Pulls up on everything! She chooses not to sit anymore. If she can be standing- She is!!

Happy Monday! Thank goodness its over!!!

Hello 28!

I celebrated my birthday with all of my favorite people yesterday! Including the morning home with my sick little girl. This poor little thing better be building up one heck of an immune system. It was so nice to be home with her but she was not a happy camper! For 3 days in a row she has had over 103 temperature and has just been miserable. We got into the doctor Tuesday morning and they said it was an upper respiratory viral infection…translation- no antibiotic- just wait it out. Apparently in the pediatric world 103 is really of no concern, but in “first time mom world” I was scared to death. And when she thew up all over our bed I was ready to run to the ER. But we have been waiting it out and ventured out of the house for a birthday dinner last night which ended up pretty interesting...lets just say I'll never leave the house again without an extra change of clothes. Due to a diaper mishap- H was wearing a zip up jacket and a diaper. That’s it. Good thing I had the jacket... It was quite the picture!
A lot has happened in 28 years and I can only pray for another 28+ years just as incredible! 27 will be pretty hard to beat...but I know we have MANY exciting things coming our way! September is a huge birthday month- a lot of friends & family with September birthdays. Including one very big birthday coming up- my sweet sweet husband turns 30!!!
