16 months

I havent blogged in forever! I guess between cleaning for house showings, work, and other things on our calendars I havent had the time to sit and write!
Ill make up for it in June- our calendar looks wide open and I am so glad about that! I am looking forward to pool days and playing outside!

Hannah is 16 months and we have truly enjoyed every second. She brings so much joy to our lives we often wonder what we did without her. She is our entertainment for sure!

When I was little my nickname was "busy" and boy does Hannah get it honest! The girl doesnt stop moving!! This will not be the child who wants to sit, snuggle and watch a movie- I think she would rather be out playing in the dirt :) No really, I think we have a tomboy on our hands! She is so inquisitive and more interested in pulling things out of the wall than sitting and playing with baby dolls. (Jeremy is so glad!) That's all right by me but she can be a tomboy with a bow in her hair :)

At 16 months she:
Is wearing anywhere from 18-24 month clothes, some 2T's...Although Im not sure how much she weighs now

She has 11 teeth, including 4 huge molars! Im thinking she is getting a couple more by the way she has been drooling and her emotional little outbursts :)

She LOVES music- its funny because she really always has loved music. On the way to daycare I play her CD and she claps and does all the hand movements! She loves doing the itsy bitsy spider, if your happy and you know it, twinkle twinkle little star, and row row your boat. She learns so much at daycare and Im pretty sure circle time is the only time that girl sits still :)

She is still pretty picky but is doing pretty good with food. She loves blueberries- which is great because I love them too!

She still loves her bunny and every morning we have the same routine. I get her out of the crib (she has to have bunny on the changing table snuggled up to her neck) then we get dressed and then once we are ready to go downstairs I say, "lets say goodbye to bun bun" and she grabs bun bun and puts her right back into the crib. Its adorable. If only saying bye to the paci would be that easy!

She loves ruby!! She loves Ruby so much that she will push all her toys under the gate for Ruby to play with. Which usually ends up in Ruby chewing something up.

She is still going to bed about 6:30 and sleeping 12 hours. When she is ready, she is ready! Just like me! If we say are you ready to go to bed she will walk over to the stairs.

She knows most of her body parts- head, toes, ears, nose, eyes, teeth and so on! We usually quiz her everyday!

Really wants to start feeding herself. She loves grabbing the spoon while we are feeding her yogurt or oatmeal. Its a little messy but this morning I think she fed herself half of the oatmeal. Miss independent!!!

She had her second haircut this week! Her hair is CURLY!!

She says Momma, dada, hi, duck, and oh- I think once she really starts talking she wont stop!

I could go on and on but most importantly she is healthy and such a sweet little girl. I dont want her to get any older. I already miss the sweet newborn days! However 16 months has been so much fun!! She learns something new everyday and never ceases to amaze us! That girl is a little sponge!! We love this girl more than we thought possible!!

Feeding herself applesauce!
this is a bad, blurry picture but I love her face here. She loves my dad so much- she always reaches for him when we go over there. She loves sitting on their bed and playing with Gramps! (He loves it too!)

I love this video. she laughs and laughs when Jeremy does this. Those two are so adorable they make my heart smile!! (its so funny because most of my video clips end in me gasping because Hannah usually falls!!)

she was so done with me taking her picture!

she is such a good little mommy to her bunny and her baby. here she is giving her bunny a little of her milk. (dont mind her outfit- we had to bathe her at my moms friday night and we didnt have a change of clothes on us so she is wearing one of alex's old t-shirts) She actually looked too cute in it :)

I just had to share this- I saw this on several peoples facebook pages and I thought it was hilarious! Is it a coincidence? TOO FUNNY!!

Celebrating Mothers!

We have had such a nice long weekend! We started Thursday off with a house showing- that was good! Friday my office was closed for Oaks so we got to have lunch with one of my favorite little men- my little brother! Then dinner at my parents house Friday night for the Oaks. We also got to spend time with family from California who came for the Derby- they had a great time! Saturday we spent the Derby with my sister & Matt and Courtney and Blake. Sunday we celebrated Mothers day and my older brothers 30th birthday!! I knew how exhausted I would be- so I took today off! Hannah and I have been playing, doing a little laundry and hopefully seeing Alex again before he goes back to Lexington for the summer :( It was so nice having him home for a couple days!

I really did not get any good pictures this weekend- we were SOOO busy! But we had alot of fun! No one had any winners on Derby day- except Hannah won the pot for Animal Kingdom- they picked it for her because it sounded too much like "Hanimal"!! :)

I hope everyone had a great mothers day- I am so lucky I have a special little girl who calls me mom. I am so lucky to have the best moms in my life- my mom, grandmothers and mother in law. Hannah and I are so lucky that we have so many beautiful role models. I can only hope I am half as great of a mother as they all have been. Hearing the word, "ma ma" out of Hannah's mouth makes my heart melt every time. It makes me smile instantly!!!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from my wedding day- I look up to all of them- they are such amazing mothers and grandmothers!

My Beautiful mother!! What would I do with out her???
I love this picture of all 4 of us. I wore a strand of each of their pearls. It meant so much!
And I just loved this picture. I LOVE the look on my moms face!
Jeremy and his mom- they are so sweet!!!

Its going to be a beautiful day and week so I'm hoping to get some pictures of Hannah today! Saturday Amanda is taking some pictures for my family- we are having 4 generation pictures taken- I already cant wait for them!!

(this picture is so funny but it really is one of the only ones I have from this weekend!) Here is Hannah in her "Go Baby Go" shirt I made her. She looks so serious though!! At daycare they do "On your mark, get set, go!" So when you tell her that, she runs to a door or wall and gets ready to RUN! Can you tell she was ready to take off!!

May, Finally.

Ive never been so excited to see May. Mainly because April has been so full of rain and storms we really haven't been able to enjoy warmer temperatures. We've been stuck inside....a lot.
So...I welcome May and hopefully we will be seeing the sun and those beautiful May flowers April was suppose to bring. May is a busy busy month for us- lots of fun things to come!
This weekend we stayed in a lot- helping Hannah get over whatever it was that she had this week. (You were probably thinking it had been a while since I had blogged that she had been sick....) Well...they called me Wednesday- she had a 102.3 temp. I think I literally RAN out of work, stopped and got ibuprofen at Walgreens (didn't even want to wait until we got home) and picked her up. There she was in her teachers arms with no clothes on so she could cool off, just sobbing away. Such a sad sight. Got her in to the dr that night and ruled out ears, lungs and strep. We have no clue what it was....the nasty "V" word I'm sure (viral). So my mom stayed with her Thursday and we got a babysitter Friday. I hate not being with her when she is sick but I guess its that working mothers guilt syndrome. When I'm with her I feel guilty that I'm missing work, when I'm at work I feel guilty Im not with her. So we spent a lot of time together this weekend. I don't even have much to write about because we really didn't do much of anything.
I was lucky enough to get together with Amanda for a photography mentoring session- I loved it! Any chance I can learn from her- Ill take it! I learned a lot and things were making more sense! We got some great shots of Hannah on such a beautiful day!

aren't they sweet! Hannah was shy at first but by the time we said goodbye Hannah jumped in her arms for a hug :)

Let's hope May is DRY & Beautiful!!
