Baseball Season!

Baseball season is here and I love it! I definitely see how those parents get wrapped up in their kids sports, and she's only 5! I don't want Owen to grow up one bit (I cant even believe he's almost 3!) but I can't wait to see what he ends up doing. That kid is READY to be on any sort of field! We always joke that we should start a diaper team of all the siblings running around!

I love that Jeremy gets to coach her and do all of this with her. I know it means alot to them both. But once that girl starts something she loves, she goes all in! We practice everyday!!

We are the Cardinals this year! And we are having much better success with the uniform! I mean, last year we had a meltdown at the first game because of how it "feels" her and we would change IN the car, at the baseball field. Now she's a pro and just throws it on!

Opening ceremonies! It was a fun little ceremony. She plays for Mountain Ridge Little League, which is the league that became the National Champions this year. Pretty cool!

She does love it!

Glad these girls could be on a team again this year!
Our first game was Friday night, under the lights! I think it made her a little nervous. She was up to bat three times and didnt get a hit but I was more nervous than she was. I was afraid she would be sad, but Jeremy said she was good. He is also the official pitcher!
I LOVE this picture! She looks like a pro! Jeremy also said he thinks she draws an "H" in the dirt when she gets up to bat, how funny!!

Little coaching session with coach Brian before she bats.

Little brother Owen watching from the stands. He doesnt sit and watch for long, that kid has to be the dirtiest kid at the park when we leave. What is it about boys and dirt!!

Not sure if they won their first game, they don't keep score but they did a great job!

We have games every Friday night and Saturday morning, Games at 7 and games at 8 am, makes for late nights and early mornings but these are the times we'll remember. I love chatting with the other parents and watching Hannah. It really is such a fun time.

She was on the pitchers mound for an inning on Saturday morning, not sure she liked it but I think they all just like to bat :) She got two great hits!!

The best thing I heard all day, when I walked by the dugout (to go get Owen out of the dirt) I overheard Hannah and Cason (they were the two in dugout that inning while the team was on the field) and  I heard Cason say, Hannah do you have your bat?  Are you going to be the zombie or the human?
I just had to laugh, quality life lessons being learned in the dugout!
