We got wholloped last week with sickness. Mine started the Saturday before last with a sore throat, then by Sunday I was full blown SICK. Sore throat, swollen/painful neck & lymphnodes, aches, chills/sweats, massive headache, it was awful. And the night before, after our softball games, Hannah threw up all over the garage and was up dry heaving all night. We were in rough shape. Sunday was Owen's preschool orientation and I didnt get to go. I could barely move. So this has lasted now for TWELVE days. Well, I take that back, the sore throat and awful neck pain moved to the most severe congestion Ive ever had, and still the headache, chills, aches. Not to mention how tired I am. Meds are barely touching this, over the counter and antibiotics. Thankfully I feel human and I can at least sleep without sitting up but this might be the sickest Ive ever been. What is really the worst, Im on day 6 of not being able to smell or breathe! And of course after Hannah had the stomach bug, Owen got it. It was so sad. I took them both to the doctor on Friday and Owen has what I have and an ear infection. Poor guy!
I had such plans for our last week of summer together but it was all I could do to keep the kids fed and alive. It was awful. I rarely left the couch and thankfully Jeremy came right in and saved us when he got home each day.
Anyways, Owen is settling into his new little school very well and looks adorable in his uniform!
First day of 3's preschool- August 18, 2015
She was so excited for him!
LOVE this face!
Then we spent some of last week getting Hannah ready for kindergarten, I knew I was going to miss her but her days are really long! By the time I pick her up at 3:15 I am so ready to see her! We had her kindergarten orientation last Thursday and she wasnt quite ready to see us leave the classroom. She cried and told me she "didnt want to do kindergarten". I kinda hid that I had tears in my eyes, and told her of course I would be right back (we had to go to the cafeteria for the parent meeting) so she let me leave and when we came back she was all smiles! We stayed for awhile and let her play so she got comfortable in her classroom.
We were all ready Sunday night!
"Ready Confetti"!
Popping her Confetti poppers!
Owen got all the same stuff Hannah did of course :)
My sweet sleeping babies the morning of kindergarten! (Ive been squeezed in between these two for the last 3 mornings...not sure why Owen keeps waking up but on top of STILL being sick and so tired, I'll take the extra cuddles!)
She started school on August 24th, it's only been two days but so far so good! She said she loves it and tells me bits and pieces at a time. She's never been one to just tell me everything and answer all my questions, it has to be on her time!
This was, why are you taking so many pictures mom?!?
In the drop off line, she jumped right out!
Drop off was so fast I didnt cry, but then I cried when I realized she just walked in there ALL ALONE, like the big kid that she is! But Owens crying was far louder and more intense than mine, so mine didnt last long. When Hannah got unbuckled and jumped out, Owen quickly unbuckled himself (which I hate that he can do that) and jumped up like he was going in. He was SOBBING when I told him he had to get back in his seat and he wasnt going. Poor kid just loves his sister!
Day 1 was a SUCCESS!!
Day 2, up and at 'em! Told me she wanted to wear a headband, which if you know Hannah, that is big for her!Tuesday was Owens preschool day, so I had 3 hours to myself! If I wasnt so sick I wouldve gone and laid by the pool but I ran to Hobby Lobby, ALONE and came home. He is enjoying it, he looks so cute in his little uniform!
Ready for Day 3!! Today is her short day, they get out 2 hours early. She goes from 8:15-3:15 which is a pretty long day so today she gets out at 1:15. I told her I was picking her up early for her early day, and she said" that's good, I really need a break from these long days!"
She's doing great. I knew she would love it! I think the days are long for her but she is still the energizer bunny when she gets home. We thought she would be so exhausted, not the case! Until her head hits the pillow, she is GOING!
