Beach Vacation 2015 Part 2!

After everyone was settled at the house we made our first attempt at the beach. If you could've seen 6 adults standing around staring at gray clouds wondering when it was going to rain, if it was going to miss us, then 3 minutes later getting pounded by a HUGE storm, you wouldve been laughing as hard as we were. We had just unpacked everything, the kids started to play and then it started raining so hard it actually hurt! The kids were soaked, poor baby Cruz had no clue what was going on, it was a sight!! So we learned our lesson and decided we might not stand around so long next time :)

Sunday the guys golfed with my dad so we hung out at the beach all day, we all took cover a couple times as we had some sprinkles but those didnt bother us like the rain we had Saturday, we stuck it out!
And these boys could've cared less about rain!

 Love these two!

I mean seriously, if I could just have HIM, I would have another one! ha!
Love this little beach bum!

We spent every day either at the beach, mostly the beach, or the pool. We finally got a system down, everyone was so helpful, we always had someone on snacks, drinks, toys, tents, towels, it was a whole process with our crew. But we all got along so well and worked well together that it just made it easy!

My mom was able to stay until Thursday morning so we enjoyed having her out with us. We grabbed dinner and ice cream at the Marina one night, the kids did really great! (Owen wouldnt be pictured, he found the cornhole again!)
There was a battle everyday over who got to hold Cruz!
These boys were great friends, sad they dont live close enough to grow up together.

LOVED having daddy on vacation with us. It seems silly to be that excited about it, but I always travel alone and he rarely gets to come. We had a great week on the beach with him!

This night we took dinner to the beach, I realized evening on the beach was one of my favorite times. It was cooler, less crowded and just was a great way to end the day. The kids LOVE the water. They had a blast getting knocked over by waves and body surfing!

One of my favorite memories from the trip is when the dads would take the kids on a "bear hunt" Blake was always the leader and led the kids around then Jeremy or Dan would scare them. They thought it was hilarious! It was adorable. Watching them play with the kids, make them laugh, really made my heart so thankful that we have such great fathers to our kids!

We also got to see something we'll probably never see again, and unbelievably, NONE of us had our phones on us to capture the moment. All around Seabrook are the loggerhead turtle nests.  So some days the turtle patrol will take inventory of the nests. We were out looking for shells and we saw an inventory going on. They had the nest all roped off and a path down to the beach roped off. So we ran up there and in their inventory they found 9 live baby turtles that needed to get out and head to the ocean. We got to watch all 9 make it down to the water. It was AMAZING. Most of the time the turtles hatch at night and make the trek down to the water following the light of the moon. They usually dont make it due to dehydration, crabs or birds. So we got to watch them all flop down to the water, it was adorable. The kids didnt move, they loved it!! So sad we didnt have pictures or a phone to call my mom and tell her to come down!

The pirate cruise was a highlight of our week, thats up next!
