Where have we been?!

Wow I was just checking out my blog and realized my last post was in August....Im way overdue for an update! I have no excuse, we've just been busy but it's been good!

Ive said it before but this kid is OBSESSED with trucks. All kinds. He found these (overpriced) trucks at Home Goods and would NOT stop talking about them until I bought all three. I bought two since I knew he would play with them but refused to buy the third. Then he had a dentist appointment and didnt cry one bit and had no cavities so I caved. He has a crane truck, concrete truck and recycle truck. Then I found him a great fire truck at the kids consignment sale for $4. WIN.

This beautiful girl has been doing great in school. She has had green every single day since school started and is "captain" of her table. Playing school at home is a very important part of her day. We play 100 times a day, and she gets really upset if our day is super busy and she doesnt get her school time. Buy the girl a pack of dry erase markers and she's in heaven!
Took Owen to the park...walked home soaking wet!
My birthday fell on a Tuesday so we celebrated with baseball and a quick dinner out. It was a great day!
I absolutely love baseball. We are SO lucky we found the team we are on. The players are so cute together and the families are great. We hope they can play together as long as we are here! And I love watching Jeremy coach, its so sweet!
Owen can't wait to play. There are so many younger siblings from our team so we are thinking a t-ball team in the fall for the siblings!

 Birthday dinner with my loves!

We stopped at Jeremy's work one morning and Owen was in heaven. He loves it there!

The Knapps came in town for the UNLV/UCLA game and Jeremy went to the game with them. I stayed home with the kids and Maureen and Duke and they had a fun time playing!

ha ha such a boy!

Don't mind our atrocious backyard! It is on our long list of to-do's but this is Owens favorite spot. I love when I catch him in his hat, just talking away about trucks.

After Hannah's eye doctor appointment we stopped by Jeremy's course again and rode around for awhile while he did some irrigation work. The kids were in heaven!

So we just make them run.....

 Someone got new fancy glasses!

I had a moms night out for MOPS one night and came home to this note. She is so sweet, she won't let me get away with sleeping without her!

We love Saturday baseball mornings! I just cant imagine how much more fun it gets!

 LOVE these three!

Jeremy and I have been playing on a co-ed softball team which Jeremy loved and I sometimes enjoyed ha ha. I usually dreaded it but then enjoyed it after we played. We did have alot of fun and it was good for Jeremy and I to play together. Since we always had two games back to back the kids would just run and play for 3 straight hours. It was good for them too! We came in 3rd overall, I'd probably do it again! It had been maybe 20 years since I played!

Sunday we needed a day out of the house so we drove to Mt Charleston to just explore nature! The kids had fun until we were halfway through our hike and they were both DONE. Owen had to be carried, not fun at 37 pds!

All Owen needs is a stick!

We found a spot to play, cook hot dogs, played some baseball with Hannah and enjoyed the views.
Then this guy CRASHED for 3 hours. He gave up his nap awhile ago but for some reason he has been napping and sleeping alot more lately. I think a HUGE growth spurt is coming!!

And they're off! My kindergartner and preschooler!

Last week (I will just call it a week I NEVER want to re-visit) was Owen's first week of 3 year old preschool! I was excited for him. As much as I love my days with him, he definitely needed more structure and to be around more kids and have another adult telling him what to do :) He was adamant he was going to the "red" door, which was Hannah's door last year. His door is blue, and he was not having it when we were telling him he was going to the blue door. He only goes Tues/Thurs 8:30-12 but its perfect for him. He cried the first day but that's also because he wasnt feeling himself.
We got wholloped last week with sickness. Mine started the Saturday before last with a sore throat, then by Sunday I was full blown SICK. Sore throat, swollen/painful neck & lymphnodes, aches, chills/sweats, massive headache, it was awful. And the night before, after our softball games, Hannah threw up all over the garage and was up dry heaving all night. We were in rough shape. Sunday was Owen's preschool orientation and I didnt get to go. I could barely move. So this has lasted now for TWELVE days. Well, I take that back, the sore throat and awful neck pain moved to the most severe congestion Ive ever had, and still the headache, chills, aches. Not to mention how tired I am. Meds are barely touching this, over the counter and antibiotics. Thankfully I feel human and I can at least sleep without sitting up but this might be the sickest Ive ever been. What is really the worst, Im on day 6 of not being able to smell or breathe! And of course after Hannah had the stomach bug, Owen got it. It was so sad. I took them both to the doctor on Friday and Owen has what I have and an ear infection. Poor guy!

I had such plans for our last week of summer together but it was all I could do to keep the kids fed and alive. It was awful. I rarely left the couch and thankfully Jeremy came right in and saved us when he got home each day.

Anyways, Owen is settling into his new little school very well and looks adorable in his uniform!

First day of 3's preschool- August 18, 2015

She was so excited for him!

LOVE this face!

Then we spent some of last week getting Hannah ready for kindergarten, I knew I was going to miss her but her days are really long! By the time I pick her up at 3:15 I am so ready to see her! We had her kindergarten orientation last Thursday and she wasnt quite ready to see us leave the classroom. She cried and told me she "didnt want to do kindergarten". I kinda hid that I had tears in my eyes, and told her of course I would be right back (we had to go to the cafeteria for the parent meeting) so she let me leave and when we came back she was all smiles! We stayed for awhile and let her play so she got comfortable in her classroom.

We were all ready Sunday night!

 Granmommy sent a kindergarten package!

 "Ready Confetti"!

Popping her Confetti poppers!

Owen got all the same stuff Hannah did of course :)
My sweet sleeping babies the morning of kindergarten! (Ive been squeezed in between these two for the last 3 mornings...not sure why Owen keeps waking up but on top of STILL being sick and so tired, I'll take the extra cuddles!)

She started school on August 24th, it's only been two days but so far so good! She said she loves it and tells me bits and pieces at a time. She's never been one to just tell me everything and answer all my questions, it has to be on her time!

She woke in a great mood and was ready! Owen on the other hand, didnt understand why he wasnt going to Hannah's school. She put her uniform on, he had to put his on too even though he wasnt going to school that day!

This was, why are you taking so many pictures mom?!?
In the drop off line, she jumped right out!

Drop off was so fast I didnt cry, but then I cried when I realized she just walked in there ALL ALONE, like the big kid that she is! But Owens crying was far louder and more intense than mine, so mine didnt last long. When Hannah got unbuckled and jumped out, Owen quickly unbuckled himself (which I hate that he can do that) and jumped up like he was going in. He was SOBBING when I told him he had to get back in his seat and he wasnt going. Poor kid just loves his sister!

Poor Owen couldnt hang in the pick up line. But I dont blame him, we were in line for an HOUR and TEN minutes! They definitely have some kinks to workout. Yesterday was much better so it'll get better.

Day 1 was a SUCCESS!!
Day 2, up and at 'em! Told me she wanted to wear a headband, which if you know Hannah, that is big for her!

Tuesday was Owens preschool day, so I had 3 hours to myself! If I wasnt so sick I wouldve gone and laid by the pool but I ran to Hobby Lobby, ALONE and came home. He is enjoying it, he looks so cute in his little uniform!

Ready for Day 3!! Today is her short day, they get out 2 hours early. She goes from 8:15-3:15 which is a pretty long day so today she gets out at 1:15. I told her I was picking her up early for her early day, and she said" that's good, I really need a break from these long days!"

She's doing great. I knew she would love it! I think the days are long for her but she is still the energizer bunny when she gets home. We thought she would be so exhausted, not the case! Until her head hits the pillow, she is GOING!
