we leave today for KY- its a short but sweet trip! JAM packed with places to go and people to see. Im in a wedding this weekend so I will be busy Friday and Saturday with that and all the days before and after are filled with seeing everyone we love! We are excited. Im a tad nervous about flying alone with the two of them but I know people do much harder things...I just know my kids :) My strong willed 3 year old and my wiggly 16 month old! Lets hope whoever sits next to us loves kids! Say a small prayer that 3.5 hours just FLIES by!
This past weekend was fun, busy and really fun. One of our favorite weekends to date. We have these great new neighbors who are now our best Las Vegas friends and we find ourselves spending most days or evenings with them. Danielle and I make weekly trips to target, starbucks or the grocery store together. Doing that stuff with a friend makes it all easier. They love the kids. She is like a little mother hen to them and its so sweet. Since her kids are older she thinks Owen is a newborn :)
Friday we made dinner and grabbed our favorite fro-yo treat! We like calm, relaxing Friday nights. We even stayed up to watch a movie. That hasnt happened in ages!
The weather here has been great so we thought it would just be fun to walk the strip and enjoy (some) of the sights :) But we heard that Circus Circus hotel has daily circus shows for free and a they also have Adventuredome which is a small amusement park inside the hotel. Fun for everyone! We figure while we are here we might as well take advantage of the things the city has to offer!
Saturday night we made some chili and pumpkin bars- some of our favorite fall foods and went next door for some food and fun. They have a little bounce house they blew up for the kids which was a hit. It wore the kids out and we were able to sit back and relax. We enjoyed good food and fun conversation with our new friends from Missouri! Even though their kids are a little older 9,8,7 and 5, the kids all play well together. Its great!
Sunday we relaxed a little then headed to our neighborhood Ice cream social. They had free ice cream, a clown, a petting zoo, bounce houses, all kinds of things for the kids. That wore us all out so after about 2 hours we headed home and crashed. Owen and I napped, he had a serious diaper rash so he napped on top of me, Jeremy watched football, and Hannah rested the only way she knows how- by playing for 2 solid hours. The girl doesnt STOP! We headed out front and let the kids play in the street. Our street is filled with wild boys who love playing football so Jeremy even joined in a game. We did not feel like cooking dinner so we grabbed some pizza...came home, baths and CRASHED. Hannah even slept until 7:30 this morning and I had to go wake her. That never happens!
This afternoon we head out for our short trip to KY and then we come back and turn around and fly to California! FUN stuff! We cant wait to see everyone!
