Birthday party weekend!!

We had a GREAT weekend. You know the saying, quality not quantity...well we had such a great quality weekend spent with Jeremy. It was 3 SHORT days but they were jam packed and filled with so much love, laughter and food!
Friday morning we picked him up from the airport and all went out to lunch together. It was like he had never been gone! Hannah RAN to him in the airport. It melted my heart to wach. She was very excited to go pick him up. The other day we were talking about going to pick him up and I said we are all going to go to the airport to get daddy and she said, "Mommy and Hannah and Not Owen!". Oh it begins!!
We came back to my moms house and put Hannah down for a nap and we were even able to rest too. He took a midnight flight so he was pretty tired!
Then we packed up some stuff to go stay at our house for the last weekend. Talk about heartbreaking. It was the last weekend Jeremy was in our house. How weird- a year to the day we closed on the house.
Then we got a few things ready for her party and decided to grab a quick dinner! Told you there was a lot of food :)
Saturday was party day! We got all ready for her 3rd birthday party and celebrated with family and great friends. It just felt so great to have everyone over. It was fun, relaxed, and spent catching up with everyone! It was a low key party but with all that we have going on, we were just glad we were able to have the party! ha ha!
One of the best parts of the weekend was that Owen crawled right in the middle of the party and Jeremy was there to see it. It was great!!! I know Jeremy hate missing all kinds of firsts so it was great for Owen to wait until his daddy was home :)
That night we just sat around and laughed and laughed. We enjoyed such great company and it just felt so great to have Jeremy home again.
Sunday morning we went to breakfast with Lindsay and Matt and then packed up a little then went to my Grammys house for lunch! I dont think I need to eat for days! We spent the rest of the day enjoying eachothers company before we had to send Jeremy off again. Hard stuff.
But we will take care of what needs to be done here and get a game plan for the next two months. Packing the house, finding a house, and preparing for an emotional rollercoaster! Here are several pictures in no particular order!

Very Hungry Caterpillar theme- one of her favorite books! We had guests write messages to Hannah in the actual book!

Big hit of the part- balloons! My mom bought a disposable helium tank which I didnt even know existed but it was worth it!
I love this picture- she RAN through the house with balloons all night!

Can you find the M?

Someone is writing letters & so proud of it! I am too- can you tell?! She learns so much & LOVES learning it too. I sure hope she continues to love school. She can write several letters & one of her favorite shapes is an Octagon! Who would have thought! The other morning as she was "drawing" she said, "M for mouse!" And there it was! Smarty pants!
I'm so proud of her. And just this morning she told me her potty was yellow. Oh the things they think of!
I sure hope I can teach her all these things!

She sure is a three year old these days....our two favorite things to say, "I do it!" And "why?!?"

Because I said so, sweetheart :)

Happy 3rd Birthday, beautiful girl!

At 1:48 pm on 1/20/10, our sweet, beautiful, little girl entered our world. She changed our world and continues to do so, every single day. She's got so much fire in her we know she has big things to do in this world. She's one of a kind and could not be more thankful God chose us to be her parents. We are the lucky ones. The past three years have taught me so much, and given me more joy than I even knew possible. We've learned what unconditional love means and how many sacrifices you make to be a parent but how worth it, it is. I couldnt be more proud of that girl. She never ceases to amaze me and keeps us laughing more than I ever thought possible. I love so many things about every stage but as she is entering 3, I absolutely LOVE carrying on conversations with her. I love that we can go to McDonalds for a date and sit there and talk like a mom and daughter. Now we usually talk about the monkey room, or Owen or what she wants for dinner but those moments are priceless.
Our first baby, our only daughter, you melt our hearts in so many ways. We dont know how we ever lived before you and dont know what we would do without you. You are God's gift to us and we couldnt be more thankful. You have such a kind, loving spirit but you have a wild streak as well. You definitely keep us on our toes! You are beautiful, inside & out. You're just the smartest, funniest girl I know!
Thank you for making the last three years absolutely incredible. Hannah- we love you more than you'll ever know. Im thankful I have a daughter like you! There are so many big things in store sweet girl, we are so thankful you will be right by our side through our BIG journey!
