storybook dance class

Hannah had her first "Storybook Dance" class today, it was adorable! The studio did an amazing job and the teacher was so great with the kids and so animated. They stretched and learned a few dance moves and then they read a book and dressed up as the character. It was great. She did really good. There were moments she was really into it and then there were some that she wasnt quite sure what she should do, but we are excited to go back. Keeping Owen entertained for an hour proved to be a challenge but it was definitely fun. I loved watching her and her cute little legs in a leotard :)

And it wore her out!

it rained...in Las Vegas.

that is all. no, kidding. but it really did. Like alot. When it rains in Las Vegas, we get these screeching alerts for flash flooding. They do not kid about flash flooding here. I actually kind of enjoyed a rainy day. We've never had so much here. But of course I just washed my car yesterday morning so I should have known :)
Here is just a quick update of our week and weekend. In a nutshell, Im tired of the heat, ready for fall, oh and I'd love a date night, just to a quiet dinner and a movie. I miss our KY babysitters who babysat just for the love of it :)

these pics are in terrible order but I dont have the energy to change it!
Saturday we took the kids to a farm nearby. Hannah has been talking about seeing cows and horses for awhile so when I found this online I knew we had to go. It was cheap, and the kids loved it so we will go back. I think one of the hardest things for us is keeping the kids entertained 24/7 since we dont really have any other source of entertainment but the 4 of us. So we are always looking for something new to do!

I love this. Hannah said, "Mommy, come lay by me. I saved you a BIG spot." Um....Thank you?? ha ha!
 Vacuum repair!
And this is how our car wash ended :)
One morning last week both kids woke at 4:45. That was great! So we headed to an orchard nearby super early and picked some pears. By the end of it we were all tired!

This was her farm outfit- she's getting to big!
Another morning at the park. We spend so many mornings at the park- this time we took her bike.

This is some face! But I loved how her hair looked after our car wash. I love her hair!
I bought some almond butter at the orchard and when I got it out to put some on some toast, Owen screamed for the whole thing. He literally sat there and ate it with a fork until I could sneak it away from him.

I found a SUPER easy pattern on pinterest to make hooded bath towels for kids. If I can sew it, anyone can! I cant wait to make more of these for gifts, etc.
Friday was family pool day for Hannah's last day of summer camp- we all enjoyed the sun!
This goat jumped up and startled the kids. Hannah immediately put her arm around Owen. It was such an endearing thing to watch. She really loves that kid so much and is very protective. We're doing something right, right?!

MY. LIFE. Ha ha! I dont get any time to myself. And when I sneak away, I always hear, "Mommy, where are you?" I tell her, "Crazytown!"

 Hilarious pig named Bulldozer
They both loved this little guy who was roaming around.

Hannah loved the magician at the pool day. She even got to pull something out of a hat!

This week we have Hannah's first dance class...getting her into a tight leotard.....I'll keep you updated. And then we are going to head to California for a little bit so Jeremy can get some rest and I can enjoy some company. Remind me why do golf courses need to kill all their grass and then grow new grass???

what Im loving...Monday

I love sharing products I love and love seeing other products that people love as well. Its great to hear about things that people have actually used and love! A few things Im loving right now....

Love this texturizing sea salt spray. My hair is short so it gives me that piecey, textured look without using a greasy cream which weighs down my hair. Best part- its like $5 at Walmart. You know I only shop two places :)

Just because I am obsessed with sea salt caramel anything I had to get this $4 pint of ice cream. WORTH IT. OMG. I find myself hiding in the freezer with a spoon so I dont have to share :)

This is a great find too. I think it was $6 at Walmart. It goes on light but does a great job of acting like a heavy concealer. I use it under my BB cream and dont have to mess with a thick foundation everyday.

LOVE the Elf products at Target. Most of them. This is awesome bronzer. It comes in a case that looks like it doesnt cost $3. I think its $3, or $6 but its cheap and great, and lasts a Long time!

I love this face but I also love the smoothie he stole from me! Its my new breakfast and its fast and easy and healthy. I tried to post the link from Pinterest but its one of those blocked ones now. Anyways, I just add some spoonfuls of Libbys Pure pumpkin, spoonfuls of plain greek yogurt, half a banana, some almond milk (I use unsweetened vanilla) some cinnamon and a little vanilla. I stopped measuring but Im pretty sure you cant mess it up. YUM! The kids love it too!

Fun little Saturday

I mean, how many ways can you say "weekend recap". Lame I know, but its usually the most eventful part of our week and we I dont like sitting at home on the weekends so I drag everyone around with me :)
Friday morning Owen and I went with Hannah on her field trip to the Nevada State Museum- Im thankful I am able to go with her to those things. She wasnt too interested in the history but loved the fossils and interactive exhibits.

attempted this but I cannot ever get the camera right!
Hanging out with the other passengers on the train!

Friday afternoon we were suppose to have Owen's 15 month appt which is late anyways, but our doctors office so kindly (ha ha) squeezed us in between all the back to school appointments so Jeremy didnt nap and I cancelled my hair appointment...only to get there and see a waiting room PACKED full of school aged kids. I dont love our new drs office so I definitely wasnt waiting over an hour for it. So we said we'd reschedule. Yep- with a new pediatrician I think. We've been disappointed with the healthcare here- we miss our old office so much!

So we headed to grab some dinner and both kids crashed in the car. They sure can sleep in the car. We had dinner and then headed home and let the kids play in the street. I love that Hannah would rather be outside riding her bike than being inside but its SO hot outside. How do kids not feel this heat when they're playing? They only notice when we are getting in a hot car I suppose.

Saturday we decided to take Hannah to her first movie in the movie theater- the neighbor girls came along with us and we were happy to have the company. We saw Smurfs 2 and for the most part she did great. Even though I was talked into a $5 Icee that she had two sips of. Figures! About halfway through she was kinda done but we made it through. I probably wont take her again for awhile. I know some theaters have specials during the weekdays for $1 movies but then I dont have anyone for Owen. I think Ill wait until she's alittle older or wait for a shorter movie :)

nothing like running through a casino holding hands with your best little Las Vegas friend!
Saturday night we went to the Las Vegas Town Square. Its a really cute place. Lots of stores, train rides for the kids, cute little snack shops, restaurants, a playground and splash pad. They had fun. There was also a jazz band playing so we hung out and listened and let the kids run around. Hannah made friends with two little girls so they ran and ran until their feet were green from the fake grass. It was a fun relaxing night!

Today we are on day 1 of Jeremy's busy work schedule for the next several weeks. Its hard on me. I know I shouldnt complain as I really dont have much to complain about but I hate when he's not home on the weekends. Especially since its 8000 degrees outside and I cant even stand to be outside and feel bad for the kids in the heat, except they probably dont notice. I get lonely, even though I shouldnt because I have two little friends to entertain all day long! We're thankful for all the people who always check in on us. I know with social media and blogs its easy to feel like your all caught up with everyone but we're thankful for everyone who calls, texts, and emails! We miss everyone and cant wait to see everyone again soon :)
