We left early Thanksgiving day, the car ride has challenges of its own but we made it! Thank goodness for two Ipads. That helped a TON!
I loved their turkey shirts, I got the decals off jane.com, they were cute!
He was coming down with something, not really himself poor guy!
The kids love getting their hands on baby Duke!! (so do I!)
He is so precious!
she was SPOILED this weekend. Elsa apron to help Mo and Tim cook!
30 people for a delicious dinner!
this girl loves the wishbone!
Electric knife for the 4 year old :)
He has baby fever...hahahaha
my little turkeys!
Hannahs best friend, Kelly. Everyday she tells me she doesnt like the name Hannah and wishes her name was Kelly!
Friday morning we grabbed some breakfast (with two VERY over tired and hungry kids, see the tylenol on the table ha ha. We had back up for poor Owen and had to use it!) we weren't quite sure we'd make it to Knotts Berry Farm but I was determined to have an AWESOME day. Growing up I lived about 30 minutes from Disneyland so we went alot. I have the absolute BEST memories of amusement parks and love getting to do this stuff with the kids. So it was going to be a great day no matter what!
She had a good breakfast and turned the corner on her mood!
She has always been my child that takes forever to warm up to everything. She can never be rushed into anything or it leads to a big meltdown. So we let her warm up for a little bit but then she was ready for rides! Owen wasnt too sure of the airplane ride so he passed!
But the truck ride, he was in heaven!
Hannah's FAVORITE ride of the day. Its just like the tea cups at Disneyland. She loved it and rode it twoce. Would have ridden it more if we kept going back.
This was probably one of my parts of the whole day. It was getting dark and cold and they were hungry so we tried to cram in a couple more ride and we found this one. There was hardly a line which we loved so we jumped in. The kids had a BLAST on this little ride. It was little cars and they pumped the handle bar to go fast. Owen picked up on it right away and was pumping along! They rode it twice too!
I should've known he wasnt feeling too well. He crashed in the stroller for almost two hours. That is so unlike him. But I was glad he got the rest!
This is how most of the rides went. He would cry AND laugh. He didnt know if he liked it!
I love this picture. I have the best memories at Disneyland with my dad. He loved roller coasters as much as I did and one of my favorite memories as a kid was when it would get dark at Disneyland and people would leave, the lines would go down. We would hit up our favorite rides OVER and OVER again. We would RUN to splash mountain and ride it and then run through the line again. I want my kids to have these memories too. We are on our way to that, Hannah has my love of fast rides!
Ladies man! It was a great day as a family. They had their moments but thats to be expected. They lasted about 9 hours which is pretty good. It was a great thing to do before our Disney trip in January for Hannah's birthday. I cannot wait for that. Disney is truly magical and one of my most favorite places on earth!
We should've had one of these, he loved this thing.
Saturday we headed to lunch and to see Santa. As you can see, Owen was not a fan. You have to have the classic, kid crying in Santas lap picture. We are going to try again here in Vegas, I think it will go the same :)
Santa at Bass Pro shops, smart idea for everyone!
Baby Duke got in on the Santa action too!
One of Jeremys proudest moments :)
The ride home was BRUTAL. I have no clue how I do that alone most of the time. Owen fell asleep at the lunch table so he didnt sleep a wink in the car. And I was banking on him napping. Hannah fell asleep in about 15 minutes but right before this was a massive meltdown about how I had all the wrong snacks. Us parents don't do anything right ;) I was glad she slept. It didnt last too long but we made it home. We all CRASHED and actually slept in today. It was a miracle! I am SO extremely thankful for our second family so close to us. They are so extremely kind and generous to us, we could never express how much it means to us. They have made living here much better knowing they are just 4 hours away!!
Our next big even is 2 weeks away! And in between we have some pretty busy days, makes me extremely happy!!!
Joey our elf was waiting for us when we got home! I had set up the Elf as the kids were buckled in the car right before we left so we were just crossing our fingers that Hannah was in a good mood when we got home ;) She went right to her table in the play room where I had left a candy cane and she ran to me with the BIGGEST eyes and a look on her face like she knew something was up. She was just in heaven. I didnt know she could get any more excited about it than last year. She was so excited to wake up this morning and see where he was. She has asked me so many questions I just hope I can remember what I've told her, lol!! I LOVE this age at holidays!!
He left candy canes and hot chocolate and smores. We will enjoy those tonight as we put up decorations!
