bring on spring!

we've had several days lately that have been 60 or above (even 50 feels warm!) and its been SO nice! I LOVE getting outside with Hannah- especially at her age. Last summer she was too little to swing or pull in a wagon- not to mention it was so darn hot I didn't want to leave our cool house! But this spring and summer will be great! I know it will be filled with LOTS of wagon rides and trips to the pool!
Between trying to get our house "staged" to sell (that's another post!) and keeping up with a VERY busy baby- Ive been dying to get some pictures of her when I can. So today- in hopes that spring will be here sooner than later- I put her bathing suit on to take some pictures! I don't know how much longer this suit will last- it was SNUG!!
Taking pictures of her is getting SO much harder because for one, she doesn't stop moving and two- she has this new thing where she LOVES sitting in your lap. She walks over to you- turns around and just drops her little bottom into your lap. Its adorable to say the least but doesn't work for picture taking!

we headed out for a walk this afternoon- early evening (the time change has me all confused!) and we forgot that right up the street is a church with a playground. We stopped by and put Hannah in the swing, she LOVED it! Laughed the entire time! I'm not sure who had more fun!

and yes- she's in her pj's- I had no idea we'd be stopping for some fun!

transitions

overall Hannah is a pretty easy going baby- she usually transitions pretty well from one thing to another. we switched to formula with no problems when I went back to work (pretty sure that was harder on me!), we moved up to baby food with no problems- as a matter of fact- she still loves the stuff!, she has picked up on table food pretty well and now loves it!, we switched from formula to whole milk in a day!, but there is one thing she cannot let go of....we found out tonight....its going to take a village to get Hannah off the bottle at bed time! Ive never seen such a tantrum in my life!!!
We started working with Hannah on sippy cups a couple months before she turned one- it wasnt very easy- she wasnt really impressed. (Does she know how many pieces are in a dr browns bottle?!?), so we gradually gave her water in a sippy cup with snacks and it usually ended on the floor. Once she started milk we started giving that to her in a sippy cup...not very easy. I should own stock in playtex sippy cups- Ive tried so many different styles and again- they all end up on the floor. Once she switched over to the big kids room they only get a sippy cup of water with snack and milk at lunch time. She has done very well with this. And just this morning I thought we finally had it- she gulped down a big cup of milk in her sippy! Most mornings she doesn't drink very much with breakfast- but she might not be thirsty either. So I thought tonight might be the night- we would give her a bath, get her all cozy in our lap for her night cap and she'd be out like a light. W R O N G!! Jeremy went down to fix the sippy cup of milk- as soon as he stepped in the room with it- she realized what was going on and LOST IT! I mean full blown tantrum- crying until she wasnt making a sound. I had to laugh a little bit but you would have thought we told her she could never have her paci again (Oh...wait...thats going to be just as hard!). Ive never seen this tiny little girl throw such a big fit!! I told her I didnt realize she had turned two...Yikes- we are in for it!!
I guess if at first you dont succeed, try, try again! And we will....and Im sure tomorrow night will end up the same way.
Its going to be a while before we try to get rid of the paci!

at least she enjoyed spaghetti and green beans!

weekend away!

we had a blast this weekend with the flynns on our first weekend getaway! I will admit it was a nice break from washing all 18 pieces of a dr browns bottle, laundry, and cleaning- but I missed my girl like crazy! All weekend Bethan and I shared pictures of our girls that our moms had texted us. But it was a much needed break and alot of fun! We toured downtown Indy (literally- in two days I think we visited about 20 different places!), met up with old friends, and slept in! We spent most of the weekend eating and laughing. Laughing about old college memories and making new ones at the same time!

I got to come home to this precious face!!! She had so much fun with my parents she was a sleepy little girl Monday morning!! And woke up with a serious hairdo!!
this was before I attempted to do something with that hair!!!
