busy!

This week has been SO busy but I cant even tell you what we've done!! Hannah has been enjoying water week at school and Ive been getting ready for our trip to the beach! It is ALOT of work to pack two kids for vacation but I cannot wait to sit on the beach for a week! But its going to be a hot one! Thankfully we are beachfront and have a pool right behind us! We will be spending alot of time in one or the other! I think Hannah is VERY excited too and will have lots of people to keep her entertained! Im a little nervous about the drive down with Hannah and Owen but as long as we keep them both fed we should be ok :) Im actually looking forward to SITTING for 11 hours. Ha ha! Jeremy wont be going with us but I know he'll be enjoying LOTS of sleep, quiet and watching what he wants on TV instead of Mickey Mouse. I SO badly wish he could come but the golf course calls.
Owen started smiling a couple weeks ago and Hannah loves to make him smile and tell us when he is smiling. She really is an awesome big sister- but sometimes she likes to take his blanket from him :) I can see many arguments in the future about Owen playing with her toys. You can definitely tell she was the center of attention for two years!
I just have a few pictures- I really dont know where the days are going. They are literally flying by. My maternity leave is over half over and it makes me so sad but I do have to go back eventually :( A routine will be nice but I have absolutely LOVED my time with my little man! Its not over though- I still have a few more weeks of cuddling my sweet boy!!

 While Im up feeding Owen at 2 am (yes- we are no where near sleeping through the night!) I am making lists in my head of projects I want to do or surfing pinterest. I was just sitting there staring at our bedspread and realized I was ready for a new one! We've had the blue/brown damask one since we got married and I needed a change. So I ran out and picked this one up today at Target and LOVE it!! Its a quilt but it is light and airy and perfect. I cant wait to paint and decorate around the new quilt.

gender reveal pictures- only 6 months later!

I know how late these pictures are & they are in no particular order but I just thought I would try uploading them again since Blogger has updated their very slow picture uploading system. I think its working! Total picture overload and I had intended on putting in a slideshow but if I ever print these blog books then all the pictures in the slideshow wont show up. I am not doing a good job of printing pictures. I hate that too because I know something we like doing from time to time at my parents house is going through tubs and tubs of old pictures and laughing through most of them! I highly doubt my kids will sit down at the computer and look through digital files of their pictures. So I am trying to print more pictures and Im relying on this blog as a huge part of capturing their childhood- through iPhone pictures and all! Funny thing- by the time they really sit down to look at these blog books we will have to explain to them what an iPhone was.  Ok so long story short- here are the pictures from the night we had Owen's gender reveal party. I remember how much I felt that he was a boy and even though I was so convinced I was still so surprised and excited! We had this sweet little party at my grandparents house- we had a pink team and a blue team! She was so sweet to provide all the cute little pink and blue favors :) She's just the sweetest.
We had the ultrasound nurse put the gender in an envelope and I drove it to my moms friends house who is the best baker and she made cupcakes with the blue center. We had NO idea what we were having until that night and found out at the same time as everyone else! It was so fun!!

Owen's Newborn Pictures

I love ALL of Owen's newborn pictures- they are just beautiful and capture our sweet little boy just as perfect as he is. Ill never forget how tiny he felt to me- even at 8 pds 8.9 oz he was a little peanut in my arms. These pictures have captured exactly how tiny, sweet and just so brand new he was. I love them. I love his squishy face and his beautiful lips!  I also love the pictures of Owen and Hannah. I know that there are so many years ahead of brother and sister shots but I love these because we will never forget Hannah meeting her new little brother and falling more in love with him every single day!

Here are some of my favorites- Im so thankful for these memories.

sweet six week old!

Owen is 6 weeks old today- just crazy he is almost two months old! He is sweet as ever and boy does he love to be cuddled :) He usually doesnt fall asleep unless he's in the car or someone is holding him tight! He still sleeps ALOT! I dont remember Hannah sleeping this much through the day but as long as he sleeps at night then thats ok! Of course when he is awake he feels like he needs to be eating- which is probably why he is so chunky :) He is doing really well at night- he eats about every 3-4 hours at night. Except for last night we were up 3 times. Im thinking a growth spurt! He is a chunky little guy too and definitely eating well! He really is so sweet. And Hannah has been SO great lately and watching how much she loves him just melts my heart. She cares so much about him, its the sweetest thing. She uses this sweet little voice and always says, Hi Baby Owen. I love it.
Owen's newborn pictures are ready and are so awesome!! He just looks so squishable and so new. I cant believe he was that little!
Here's a sneak peek from Amanda's blog- she got some really cute ones of Hannah and Owen too. I was surprised because Hannah was not too interested! Once I get the CD I'll put some more up. These are so beautiful though!!

Fathers Day 2012

We've had a very low key weekend! Friday we had pizza by the pool. Hannah LOVES the water. Sometimes she isnt so sure about getting in but I had such a great time playing with her in the pool- she just laughed and laughed. There is nothing better than the sound of a childs laugh- its contagious! She was exhausted that night after the pool and water day at school so she crashed early and slept in until 8! Today we have enjoyed a wonderful fathers day. We gave Jeremy just a couple presents this morning including this picture in a frame from Hannah. I had planned on 3 of these pictures but I was happy to even get one. I wanted to write two more "I love you because..." but she wasnt having it!

 My gift to Jeremy is dinner at Pats Steakhouse one night when we can finally break out of the house!! Once Owen finally gets a bottle we might be able to break out for a nice dinner. We've never been there and want to have a QUIET dinner where we dont have inhale our food. I think we could be in a competition for who can eat their dinner the fastest. We have to eat fast because we never know if Hannah is going to melt down or Owen might need to eat. So we just want to enjoy a nice, long, delicious dinner together!
We went out for breakfast and Hannah was really good and Owen slept through most of it! We usually take our chances when we attempt eating out and most of the time we usually look at eachother and wonder why we thought that was a good idea but today it was really nice! We came home and got the kids ready to head to my Grammy and Bumpahs for a small Fathers Day celebration. We decided Jeremy deserved a couple hours to himself in the peace and quiet so we left him at home. Im sure he enjoyed it! There arent too many times the house is completely quiet :)
My dad is out of town so we had my mom, Alex and Nana over for a little cookout which included yummy food, golf and some hilarious laughs! Hannah was AWESOME today!! I dont even think I can think of one meltdown. She was just great and funny and so happy! She must have known that is what Jeremy wanted for Fathers Day :) Overall it was an awesome day. Just filled with family and relaxing.
Im SO thankful for the awesome fathers in my life. Im BEYOND blessed having Jeremy as the father of our children. I knew he'd make an awesome husband but watching him become a dad made me fall even more in love with him. He is so involved and always wants whats best for all of us. Everything he does is for us. We are the lucky ones!!
